This grill was exactly what we were looking for. We loved our old hibachi but the grates kept dropping onto the coals and they weren't exactly even. This is a perfect outside grill for 2 people but can easily hold 4 burgers. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. Easy to clean and care for.

Great quality, so good that it is about too heavy to transport as a camp grill. Grill surface has no adjustment and with a slight wind it is difficult or impossible to cook in a timely manner. Area below grate that holds charcoal is very shallow and fills up with a minimal of coals burned thus disrupting airflow, effectively choking the heat source of air. All in all an expensive, heavy marginally efficient grill. If you want for a patio or deck, be sure to have bricks to put under the unit as the iron gets hot and stays hot. Emptying the unit is difficult and the handle requires you to hold onto the unit to transport, don't do this hot! If you want something to take as a camp grill, look elsewhere.

The fire grate arrived with a small crack in one of the grates, instead of contacting Target I called Lodge. They sent me another fire grate immediately, which I appreciated because we use the grill every night.

Hibachi that will last more than one season.

This is our second Lodge Logic Hibachi Grill. We purchased this one to replace the one that we had for the past 5 plus years. It was the same make and model and served us well. The only reason that we need a new one is that the grill plate fell apart. After so many cookouts and the heat and fire..the grill just wore out.It is a sturdy and heavy cast iron product and I am sure that it will serve us well for another 5 years or more.Worth the price and saves money in the long run because you don't have to buy a new grill every year.

Great Deal!

I've been considering a cast iron hibachi for awhile and when I saw this one on sale on Target.com the price was right, the size was right and am I ever happy. It takes some time to get accustomed to this type of cooking and you have to keep it out of the wind. I would recommend a charcoal starter so you can start the coals quickly and pour them in. 20min. and you're cooking. Construction is excellent, style is very rustic/old fashioned. Everybody asks about it.

I am happy with the purchase ...its of very good quality for grilling . Its heavy - because ofcourse its cast iron . I don't think I would carry it in the car trunk for long trips though. Its best for 2-3 people. Otherwise you have to keep grilling multiple times. Also, you have to clean it on the same day itself if possible ,else it'll get rusted they say. Since I bought it recently I can tell about the durability ,but according to other comments it'll last for a life time if you take care of it properly.

This grill is built like a tank! The construction is top notch and it should last many lifetimes with care. It is possible to crack cast iron by dropping but it is basically as thick and heavy as a cast iron fry pan. You can burn charcoal or wood and cook over the coals. I am very pleased.

I love the fact that the Lodge Grill is made in the U.S.A. It is very well built, and exactly what someone who wants to BBQ in a small space - or make only a few burgers or steaks - would enjoy.Target's price was the absolute best, and I seriously researched this online as it's a little expensive. [...] (And this is one heavy cast iron hibachi.)However, I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it is still unused. Problem is there are no assembly instructions (there are only 6 pieces to it!), but we can't figure out where to put the draft door. I emailed Lodge, as it was shipped from them directly, but still no response. So 4 stars rather than 5 for their poor/non-existent customer service. How hard can it be to send directions!I'll try it without the draft and hope there will be no safety problems.
