I ordered this to have a simple and stylish way to hold my ipad in portrait or landscape mode. It really is only useful for use with watching movies or for use in slideshow mode with your photos. When you try to use the ipad while in the stand, there is not enough sturdiness or resistance to hold the pad in one position. It is a clever design idea, but really best for use when the ipad is on display or for viewing, not for swiping and using apps.
