I had purchased a similar duvet cover from target last year... however this duvet is not the same absolutely the scratchiest ever. I did not wash it before putting it on... after a week of sleeping on it I stripped the bed and washed it. For almost a 100 bucks I expected soft wonderfulness... after washing its going in the guest bedroom
