Maxim 40–pc. Train Set product details page

Bought this as a gift, the train itself seems fine and decent quality. The set came in a plain brown cardboard box with the track and pieces in a plastic bag inside. Not a nice box that displayed what was inside. Kind of disappointed about that. I'm going to have to get creative on how to wrap this one.

Purchased this for my 2yr old and was looking forward to using it with some Thomas and friends toys we already had, but it didnt fit properly. The toy brought some amusement to my son but I felt that the construction of the trains was a little cheap. The price was good but probably wouldn't buy anything else from them.

for the price, who could complain? a very basic fun little train set. my two year old enjoys it and Im sure he will continue to enjoy it for years to come. even if its not the fanciest or most durable in the world its still great for the price!

My son LOVES trains....and this one was perfect. Great value as compared to thomas....has lots of pieces. Hours of enjoyment

I bought this train set for my 2 1/2 year old grandson. Its a perfect starter set. he loved it. Should provide years of fun as grows, more sets and track configurations can be built with supplemental parts readily available on the internet. This set is compatible with all the major wooden railway sets .

This is a great train set. We just got it at christmas time for my son and he loves it. You can't beat that price for a wooden train set. My boys play with it for hours.

This toy is an amazing deal [...]. I have a 4 year old and a 16 month old and it's something they can both enjoy. The 4 year old can set up the track all by himself and my little one loves playing with all the pieces. Recently, I packed up just the train cars and animals in a bag to take to an appt. It was a great quiet activity that entertained them both. My 4 year old was interested in how the magnets worked (pushing/pulling) and his little brother liked pushing a train car around and playing with the animals.

opened up this gift before giving it as a present;did glue some of the parts together to make it easier to handle for a young grandchild we haven't played with it yet to know if it will hold up
