My husband wanted this for his birthday and he loves it. It allows him to find an unused radio station to play his IPod through the radio in the car. All he does is plug in the IPod and it scans for a channel. It is easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of space in the car.

Pretty great for the price

A couple years ago I bought a[...] transmitter [...] it was complete junk. I had completely dismissed this type of product until a friend recommended this to me. The sound is quite good although there were a couple areas of my town that had some static especially noticeable when playing slow songs. It is very simple to use as well. Overall I totally think it was worth the money. Would recommend to anyone

Does the job!

I was a bit hesitant to order the product because of the other reviews, but I eventually bought it! I am satisfied with my purchase. One of the main reasons I bought the unit is because you can remove the USB cord from the provided cigarette adapter. I like this feature because it works perfectly with my two outlet iPhone charger. I can charge and/or play both my iPod and iPhone with one outlet while still have an available outlet for my GPS. The quality is good once you find a station. I must admit, that in a heavily metropolitan area, it may be tricky to find a good station... but once found, you do not have that many problems with it. It is especially useful for those long distance trips. I have went on numerous trips and only had to change the station once I reached my destination (which was usually a metropolitan area). Seeing that I do not have an AUX outlet in my card, I am really not left with much of a choice. For the price, this is worth it!

It's okay...others are better

I actually bought this from other store after the guy working that section said that this was the best transmitter they had. The instant scan feature was nice and worked pretty well (I'm used to a manual scan transmitter);however, the sensitivity ..........! I have a one hour commute and I would have to retune 3 times during the commute whereas my other transmitter (the kind that fit in the cup holder) needed 0 retunes. I could travel 60-70 miles before I had to find a new station with that one ; with this one you'll be searching about every 15 miles!
