My husband and I bought 3 chests, 2 night stands, and a headboard. Overall, we're happy with everything. Some of the reviews had me a little scared, but I'm glad I tried them anyway. If you want inexpensive furniture that looks nice and shouldn't break anytime soon, the suite is definately a good buy. We didn't buy the underbed storage drawers, but the headboard works fine with regular rails, too. Just know that it does NOT include the bolts to hold it to the rails.
When you buy on the cheap, you get what you pay for. The screws went all the way through on a piece in the front. The mattress will cover it (I think) if it it tall enough. I will not buy South Shore Industries products again. Thank goodness it is for a guest room that is hardly ever used. I'm glad it wasn't chosen for my bedroom, I would be grinding my teeth every night.
I bought it for my daughter who is away at college and shares a house with 2 girls. It was easy for her to move around and put together by herself, is very nice looking for the value and goes well with her other furniture.
