My husband and I purchased 3 chests, 2 night stands, and a headboard. Overall, we're very happy with what we got. Some of the reviews had us a little scared, but I'm glad we decided to give the suit a try anyway. You'll want a hammer, drill, and [glue] when you go to put it together. A hammer to bang the drawer sliders into place, a drill to do all the screws (there are way too many for a screwdriver), and [glue]to reinforce all the drawer seams. FYI, the storage area underneath is not tall eno

I love maple colored furniture and this fit the bill perfectly. I bought this for my new apartment. I was looking for something inexpensive but that still worked well. I took about 20 minutes to put together (me and my father did it) and I was extremely happy with the end product. I'm now getting ready to purchase the matching headboard and mirror. My only complaint is that the front of the drawer sometimes attempts to separate itself from the sides and bottom. I'd suggest using a little wood g
lue from a hardware store when you put it together. Other than that, I couldn't be happier!
We bought this along with the matching dresser. I really like this nightstand, it doesn't look like you put it together yourself at all. Pretty easy to assemble also. However, it is pretty low and if you have a high bed it would not look good. Our bed isn't too high but I do wish the nightstand was a few inches taller. It doesn't look bad but if you have to jump into your bed, this isn't the nightstand for you. Measure before you buy.
I have had this nightstand for several years and have had no problems. It was very easy to assemble and is still in great shape. I feel it is a great deal for the price.
I bought two of these nightstands second hand, but I have bought and assembled things like bookshelves from this line before, so I know that assembly would have been pretty simple. They are low, but I have a platform bed and I wanted stands that were lower than the bed. I haven't really had a problem with warping, but maybe mine are a little darker than this. Basically, you get what you pay for. If you shell out more money to get a solid wood dresser, of course it'll be better, but these are go
od starter furniture for the price.
I purchased this nightstand for my son's room and I was very pleased with the purchase. Assembly was ultra easy (it took me 20 minutes to assemble and I was watching tv as I assembled it), largely due to the simplistic nature of the instructions. Kudos to whomever scripted the instructions; they need to give seminars in furniture assembly instruction manuals because some instructions are heavily convoluted and offer no diagrams. Yes, the nightstand is somewhat smaller in height than a typical n
ightstand, but that is because it is intended to be used with the rest of the furniture in the collection, which is also shorter in height than average. Since I also purchased the platform bed to go along with it, this piece works fine with it. I am a very satisfied customer.
I agree that the night stand is a little on the short side, perfect if you don't have a bed frame. I also had some problems when assembling the tracks for the drawers, they seem to be upside-down when assembled as directed.
I found this product highly disappointing from a production standpoint. I understand that it's ridiculously cheap furniture, and all I was looking for was a nightstand that would fit next to my bed in my small college flat bedroom. However, pilot holes were not properly measured, causing it to be extremely difficult if not impossible to achieve properly flush right angles during construction. The spray- or dip-on coating to make the particle board resemble maple is extremely fragile, and will ch
ip or flake off at the slightest aggravation. The arched kickplate in front is only fastened to the underside of the shelf by 2 l-joints, leaving the bottom with far too much motion for my comfort - one stumble in the dark and I am afraid that it will crack off.Additionally, construction on this particular piece was more arduous than any 'ready-to-build' furniture I have ever before encountered, including desks and bookshelves. Who ever heard of boxed furniture that requires glueing? Also, make sure you have an electric drill with driver bits, because there is a lot of screwing to be done which I was forced to do by hand - not a pleasant task. So, if you need something cheap but you don't want to buy or wait to buy used, go for it. Just don't get your expectations up.
This was very easy to build and and was perfect for my sons room. I love the whole set. The one thing I didn't check was the height of these nightstands. They seem a little shorter than I would have wished. But I love them anyway.
