It isn't sheer, but I still wear beige. I purchased my normal size XXL, which is a little loose in my opinion. I do however wear this skirt high-waisted, so if you wear it on your hips, it should be just right. It does have a lot of stretch to it, so it can accommodate. Length, when I wear it higher-waisted, ends just pa st my mid-thigh area, so it isn't too short, not too long. This skirt is flouncy, bells out a little..so if you want a tight, form-fitting skirt do NOT buy this. It can be very innocent, sweet if worn a certain way. Post-washing, it can be a little wrinkle-prone so you need to iron it. Versatile with just a plain T-shirt and flats, or with a fancier blouse and heels or even boots.
