This is perfect for making just enough for one person for their morning coffee. No point in using one of the huge coffee pots to just make 2 cups worth. I like the programmable feature. It took a little getting used to, ... see more

I started using this in January, and loved using the programming feature. After a month though, the light on the time was dim, and the programming feature would only work part of the time so I went back to just making it when I get up. No big deal. But then at the end of the brew cycle, it would sometimes make horrible noises and generate a LOT of steam. This morning, I poured the water in, put the coffee and filter in, plugged it in and his "On" and it just made clicking noises. I lo ve the way this pot looks, and I love the size, but I cannot recommend it to anyone.

It is perfect coffee maker for less frequent user like my husband. He is the only coffee drinker in the house, so it works great size wise & value wise.

I bought one of these earlier this year and it broke within a couple of months. The top wouldn't stay down no matter how much I fiddled with the basket and water spout positioning, and it would take up to half an hour to brew this little pot. Tried maneuvering the lid gently, placing heavy objects on top of it to hold it down...no good. Also, as the machine began to lose functionality and take longer to brew, the coffee began to taste disgusting and burnt. Tried the old vinegar rinse, but that didn't help either. So, threw it out and got another. Same thing happened again in less than six months. Tried the same song and dance, no help. Ugh. Not buying a Mr. Coffee product again.

Got this on sale for [$] and couldn't be more pleased. Works flawlessly. [...]. The auto start and shutoff features work great too. This is about the best value in a small full featured coffee maker on the market.

Coffeemaker has a design flaw

I bought this coffeemaker yesterday and made a pot of coffee. I noticed the coffee was not flowing out of the filter basket into the carafe. The problem lies in the filter basket's spring loaded opening (plunger) at the bottom that allows you to take the coffee pot out of the coffeemaker while it is still brewing. Here's the design flaw: the plunger opens by the lid of the carafe pressing up on the spring, therefore allowing the coffee to flow out. The lid doesn't rest on the carafe itself, and instead is hinged onto the handle of the pot. Because of this the lid doesn't sit flush and push open the spring/plunger, therefore getting coffee backed up in the filter basket.[...]. Either way it is a design flaw and one that should really be addressed by Sunbeam as a safety hazard.

I bought this coffee maker for my boyfriend to use in his dorm. It is a great small size, and makes coffee really quick. The clock setting is great because you can set it to make your coffee for the next morning and you can wake up to a hot fresh 4 cups of coffee. Fits on a desk easily, and works perfectly.

love it!

I purchased this little coffee maker about 2 months ago and have been completely satisfied. It says 4 cups, but it is really makes about two large cups, which is perfect for me. I love its ease of use, fast brewing, and problem free operation. It takes a couple of pots of coffee to "break in", but after that the flavor is great. I really don't use the delay brew features, but so far the clock seems to keep time well.

I love this coffee pot, it is perfect for a couple who loves just the right amount of coffee in the morning. It stays hot, brews very quickly and most of all takes up just a little bit of space I would recommend it. Judy Sunshine State

I have no complaints about the actual capabilities of this product. It has worked fine for me so far, and the coffee it has produced has tasted great. My only complaint is that I only get 2 cups of coffee out of it per serving and I think the only way one could get more is if one used little tea cups, which I supposed some do. I, however, use a somewhat larger mug, about one cup in size. So when it advertises itself as a 4-cup coffee maker and only shells out two, its a bit unsettling. Otherwis e, [...],for the price, its not a bad little thing.

This is perfect for making just enough for one person for their morning coffee. No point in using one of the huge coffee pots to just make 2 cups worth. I like the programmable feature. It took a little getting used to, but overall it gets the job done and doesn't take up much space on the counter. I really like it for what it is!
