I am definitely a beginner but am almost addicted to cappuccinos so wanted a machine for the home. This is a great machine for the novice. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. The cappuccinos I've made are delicious! I use French Vanilla coffee and froth half liquid Coffee Mate and half skim milk. Frother works just fine, just wish I had the proper frothing pitcher since a mug doesn't allow for much movement under the frothing arm. It is made with a lot of plastic parts but that
is not a problem to me. Very pleased with this machine and would highly recommend it.
I got this for Christmas less then two weeks ago and the handle melted off! I also felt like the espresso always tasted a little burnt. It could have been nice it was pretty easy to use!
This espresso maker is just for begginers. It takes over three minutes to make one shot. The heating resivour does not support multiple shots. The frothing stim is in a fixed position and the plastic tip is useless. It's a good espresso maker for the people who just want to have it in their home but I would not recommend for the everyday maker.
Got this last Christmas as a gift. Today, we ran it twice, the first time was fine but noticed that the hot water wasn't dripping out as fast as usual, it took about 5 minutes to finish dripping out. Later on, we ran another 2 cups worth, but forgot about it so it was left on for about 2 hours, then we smelled something burnt, smelled like burnt plastic, found out it was this machine. When we opened the water reservoir, the burnt plastic smell was super strong.
Had to throw this away... we ha

I do not know if its true for this model generally, but for the one we got, you would have to have some water left in the reservoir to run the steamer after brewing, or else the milk in your cup will get sucked into the reservoir.
I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband in 2010. This little machine has made SO many mochas and lattes in the last 10 months.With the right bean, this is a great little maker. Its easy to use, once you learn it's hard to forget. It's also easy to clean. We clean each piece as soon as we use it, including the steamer. It doesn't take long. I was always concerned that I wouldn't have time to make my latte or mocha but it takes the same amount of time making it than sitting in the dri
ve thru. If you're looking for an inexpensive way to have your espresso, this is the way to good. It's a great constructed machine that hardly takes space on your counter.
This is a cheap maker that is cheaply made and you get what you pay for. It makes horrible coffee (the pressure caliber is all off and it burns the expresso), when you steam your milk it can give it a plastic taste (when steaming it in glass or metal), but you get what you pay for. Excellent for traveling and for everyday use in a small kitchen.
This machine works much better than expected for the price. Had a little trial and error on the first cup or too. No kitchen skills so reading the dirctions for me was a must! My only trouble was in finding a metal pot to steam the milk in.
I am a SERIOUS caffeine addict and this is the perfect machine for me. Since I am the only "Espresso Drinker" in the home this makes the PERFECT amount for me, myself and I!VERY simple to operate and very quick. Add some flavoring and you can have your "Starbucks Special" right in your own kitchen!
I ordered the Mr Coffee Steam Expresso Machine as a wedding gift.The Gift Registry is extremely user friendly and makes gift giving so much easier!Wish we had a Target Store in our town. This is the next best thing.
