Also it costs as much as a recon whereas the raider costs as much as 15 bucks more in many places. Weighs less than a raider too. Some hate the 18rd drum mag but I prefer it to the Stampede's 18 round straight mag, of which I own two, and they sometimes have feed issues. Nerf's 35 rd raider drum also has feed issues and can sometimes be difficult to clear a jam. Not so on the 18rd drum. Also the grip is a little different from the Recon's grip and, to my hands, slightly more comfortable. If this gun ever jams on you, its because of a deformed dart, not because of the gun itself. Get this gun. You will thank me.

I own several Nerf guns, and I have to say that I think the Alpha Trooper is my personal favorite. Its good range and the slamfire ability make it an excellent gun for Nerf battles.

I bought this gun for my son and he loves it! Its the only automatic nerf gun I ever SAW! it is very durable dropped it on the floor a couple times. Also it is very child safe.

This toy is a very fun toy. It has a fair amount of darts to use. It Is easy to reload. The gun shoots far (~30 ft.). It doesnt jam that easily, so thats good. Its very accurate for a trained shooter. Its a powerful gun. The rapid fire mode is a great feature. No matter my situation in battle, the light and handy Alpha Trooper never lets me down!

I had been trying to decide if I really needed another Nerf gun, I finally caved in and ordered the Alpha Trooper CS-18 it has been superb I have already used it in many battles and Nerf wars it is a great gun to have easily one of the best clip system guns Nerf has to offer. The magazines capacity is great 18 darts means that you don't have to reload as often and you would with a 6 round clip. Slam fire is excellent for when you need to fire rapidly. Over all this is a great gun, I highly reco mmend this product.

I've had this gun for 6 months, and had 2 good solid nerf wars with it. It worked GREAT until the end of our last battle. The magazine started jamming. It appears that the darts have started gripping the wall of the circular part of the magazine. They try to spin as the spring attempts to advance them, but can't, so they just plug up the magazine. I can still use it with up to 10 darts, but any more than that and I'm screwed. I've been trying to fix it, but no success yet. I can't seem to find a replacement magazine.

My 6 and 9 year old love this gun. Needed something that they could have fun with and also safe if my 2 year old picked it up. All three boys love this gun.

This toy is really fun to play with although it is not an automatic toy gun but it is still a fun toy.
