Baby will be here in about 2 weeks. I really wanted to have an organic mattress since he will be spending a lot of time sleeping and this was the best rated one I could find. Definitely not the cheapest but I feel like you get what you pay for. It fits the crib really well with no gaps. So far, so good.

I was very concerned about potential chemicals in my baby's mattress, particularly offgassing and pvc covering to make it waterproof. I love the Naturepedic mattress because it avoids all of these chemicals by using natural organic cotton and a food grade safe waterproofing. The mattress had no smell when I took it out of the box, and it is very firm and thick. It fits perfectly in our crib with no gaps.[...] I highly recommend any of the nauturepedic products!

I bought this for our first child which we're expecting this summer. It was delivered prompty and in perfect condition. When I removed it from the box it was firm yet lightweight and was free of any chemical smells. Definitely worth the extra money to know that our baby will be sleeping on a safe mattress.

Had been looked for an organic mattress for my first grandchild. Organic is highly recommended (possibly helps prevent SIDS) this mattress has NO odor! It is everything and more that I was looking for in a crib mattress.Reasonably priced for the quality! A very good choice for anyone looking for an excellent crib mattress!Absolutely worth the Money!

Waiting for our baby to arrive, but this is the only completely organic mattress I could find. Great quality and no smell.

After reading about SIDS, the expense of a mattress that reduces its risk is well worth the relief it gives this first-time mom. It arrived in an extremely timely manner (...is firm and allows my three month-old daughter to sleep super soundly through the night. Before we got the mattress, she would make little noises and fussy sounds, but afterward, we hardly hear a peep. As adults, we are very particular about our mattresses and sleeping arrangements. I think the sleep habits of children are equally as important as the environment of their waking hours; therefore, [..] Think of how much time your child spends on his or her crib mattress throughout the first few years of life. Investing in a non-toxic mattress is so important.

I have not yet bought this mattress but am planning to. In response to the review regarding flame retardancy according to the manufacturer website they use natural materials to make the mattress waterproof and flame retardant. Do your own research on this for sure it is an important issue, even for older kids and us grown ups too.

Buyers beware! Many companies advertise that their products are green and 'safe' these days..... they are NOT as safe as you think! If they are flame-retardant, foam, waterproof, anti-mold, vinyl, plastic etc. they are NOT safe for your child by any means. Please do your research thoroughly and make truly educated decisions when choosing things for you and your baby. I have done extensive research and am appalled by the amount of toxins are considered safe by the FDA, EPA, CDC and other governm ent organizations. It is painful but worth it to be informed. Remember, we vote with our purchases! This one is not a good vote!

I love this mattress! I received this mattress incredibly fast and immediately took it out of the package. There was no smell at all! It is pretty heavy as far a crib mattresses go and fits much more snugly in my crib than the old mattress I had. It is made very nicely and according to the paper work that came with it was actually made and shipped within 48 hours. Its good to know that it wasn't sitting in a warehouse for months collecting dust and other "things". Definately worth the money.

What more can you ask for, an organic mattress that is clean and safe for our third little baby on the way. I had an organic cotton mattress for my first two babies and ended up giving it away. So glad to find this one as it's a bargain compared to what organic mattresses were going for 6 years ago. Couldn't be happier with it.
