Was very impressed the first time it turned on and started working. You really must use this for at least a week to give it a fair rating. I almost returned it second day as it kept saying clear path and acting confused several times. My mistake! You need to read the manual 1st. If you stop it and move it to another location it confuses it. It now cleans my 2 thousand sq ft home with no problems. I absolutely love it! I have 2 pugs that shead like crazy, it pics up the hair with ease! It goes over all rugs, even my bathroom rugs and leaves them perfectly groomed! I actually am amazed on how much trash she pics up. I have to empty out daily! It takes 5 seconds to empty and she's ready to go again! Im actually spoiled with her. She is not any where close to being as loud as my upright. Cleans under beds, dining tables, under couches and tables... All the places we neglected in the past and more! You will love her I can guarantee it! Great investment!

Have been running My Neato XV0-12 several times daily on about 400 sq. ft. of carpet since buying it at Target last week. Puts my cleaning lady's larger vacuum to shame, iin picking up dog hair, dirt and dander. I'll be sneezing less. Well worth the investment. The debris storage container and filter are full at end of every cycle. Best investment I've ever made in a vacuum. But the simple care and maintenance instructions must be followed for the machine to function properly, especially remov ing debris from the rug beater, passageway and filter.

We just finished a remodel and our home is empty, with the exception of two air mattresses. No furniture, no carpet,hardwood and tile. Got stuck in the hall 4 times in a 10 min period. Just kept driving into the wall, then started beeping with the message that I needed to clear its path. So I moved it to a bedroom, where it drove into the corner. If it had only backed up and turned around, it would have been clear of any obstacles, yet still, it beeped repeatedly. Again, I moves it to ano ther area. After the 9th time of getting stuck in open areas of my EMPTY home, I boxed it up and returned to Target. Also, the crazy thing sounds like a helicopter taking off when it starts up. I honestly thought we might have lift off. Sounds like a shop vac. I had hoped to be able to have this thing to run each morning after we leave the house...but obviously, it would require MUCH too much supervision for that. No thanks, a huge let down.

I bought Rosie, that's what we've named her, five months ago and have loved it ever since. I have a huge house with two very messy children and this has saved me hours of cleaning. It goes under and over and around picking up all debris in its way. I have had to make some changes, I had some rugs they were a braded kind with fringe on the end and they have had to be replaced with more of a standard rug. Otherwise it goes over all my bathroom rugs, area rugs, it does fine with my other area rugs with fringe, and even lets itself outside cleans my front porch, front door mat and comes back in, really!. I do have to give my baseboards a little cleaning after, it doesnt get all the stuff on the edges, but that's only every few cleanings. It does need occasional cleaning and I do wash out the filters, I prob need new ones by now. Last time I cleaned it I lost a part down my garbage disposal and the thing just keeps on going. I now have so much more time with my family, thank you!

TL/DR - It's great buy it. I have two large dogs and a cat that shed all over everything, two children who love playing in the dirt and sand, and my wife and I work full time. Enter the Neato Vacuum! I purchased this robot with high expectations and it blew me away. Our XV-12 cleans under most of our furniture, gets close enough to the edges that I have to edge about once a week or so, and picks up nearly anything. It performs exactly as advertised. I come home to a freshly vacuumed hous e every day with nice perfect lines in all of my carpeted floors. It takes one recharge to cover the 1700 sq ft that is the top floor of my home. It handles the fringe on the rug without an issue. I quite literally cannot say enough good things about it. A final note that nobody seems to address- YES you can schedule it BY THE DAY. Mine is currently set to run Monday through Friday at 10am and does not run on the weekend while we are home. An excellent product!

All I really can say is I love this thing. It does not fit under one of my sofas but it's only like 1/4 of an inch to tall so I am going to get some taller feet for that. I have a dog and 4 cats and have this run every day. My house is cleaner than ever without the work. it does not get right up to the edge of every wall but that's ok we just run around the edge of the rooms once a week and all is well.

PROS picks up almost anything! swept 3 times before i ran it the first time and it picked up a bunch of cat hair and dirt that got left behind, works great on grout, can do my entire house on one charge 8 rooms plus 2 walk in carpeted closets, dose not get stuck on my rugs, only takes about 1-2 hrs to clean the house, and the program clean feature is great!! CONS won't fit under my couches, have to sweep the baseboards and corners out, have to dump it often, loud, and can't program more than on e cleaning a day. WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD!!! i love this thing

I bought my Neato Back in July of last year. My husband and I have demanding careers and this has helped keep the house tidy. It also leaves vacuum marks on our rug. I did my research on this before I purchased it, I read that it sounded as if it was going to take off like a jet. SO with that being said that is the one downfall of this product. I noticed that the cleaning time was depleting and the clock started to have to be reset often, so I went to the website and found the upgrade..... PROB LEMS SOLVED! When we got this out of the box there was a learning curve with having a robot help with cleaning.[...]

I bought this little vacuum because i've always wanted a robotic vacuum. It picks up pet hair like crazy and I live in a 1600 square foot, 3-bedroom apartment. It's got a great technique for going through a room and doesn't miss an inch of your carpet. However, getting accustomed to the machine will take a bit. I've had it 3 days and sadly I'm going to return it. In comparison to other vacuums in the market it's warranty is 1 year where as others are 5 years stand up vacuums. I want a lot of ba ng for my buck and if you have the money to spend on an extra vacuum you can program to clean up messes on a daily basis get this Neato. I just feel that I might have to replace the battery, it's not compatible with [...] products and who isn't these days? If the manufacturer had a better warranty and if I didn't think that I would have to change my battery every year and have to risk the loss of suction I would keep this vacuum.

I think this is hte best product on the market. I bought one over the holidays and just love it. it's doing wonders on all of my floors and it's great. I dont have to worry about vaccuuming anymore, which is awesome.
