My daughter has the DS lite, and she loved it until she got a Ipod touch. So we thought we would get the DSi for our son. I think he will be pretty happy with it. I rated it 4, i'll raise or lower the score after we pick it up depending on how he likes it.The not so intelligent first poster said inteligent.... Sorry, just thought I would point that out.

Amazing!

This DSi is great for the money! The camera has a lot of features. The internet goes very slow, but it still works. If you search for WI-FI, it picks up a lot of connections. When you first get this, you have 14 hours of battery life. As you have it for a year or so, the battery life shortens. I love the DSi shop. In the DSi shop, you start out with 1,000 points. You can get a Nintendo points card with 2,000 points on it. You can get apps that range from 0-800+ points. The apps can be games fro m Mario to other fun games, and DSi ware consists of clocks, flashlights, calculators and even a disco ball! The DSi still has picto-chat just like the DS lite, and you can still play store-bought games like any other DS. I do recomend this to other people!

Awesome.

To "Kris V",Your review was good, but it had a few flaws. First of all, the DSi doesn't freeze. It hasen't frozen for me or any of my friends yet, and we got it on it's launch date. Second, the DSi can ONLY play music off an SD or SDHC card. It cannot play music off of it's own memmory. Third, you are missing a lot on the DSi if you don't have one, for you are forgetting about DSiWare. DSiWare, for all of you who don't know, is downloadable titles exclusively for the DSi that you get from the DSi Shop aplication on the DSi itself. That is all I have to say ^_^

The DSi is great!

The DSi is great. I love the new addition of the cameras and the Photo Channel (especially the emoter which is really funny) Your able to view the photos you edited on your computer which you weren't able to do with the Wii Photo Channel. The Nintendo DSi Shop is good.Lots of great games!!!The only con is that the web browser is a little slow but that's not too big.

BEST CONSOL,DS,EVERYTHING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is already a better version of the DSi with a good chance of being released in the first quarter of 2010 with a bigger screen. This should be considered before a purchase for the holidays. There is also a problem with the DSi in general if you wanted to play Guitar Hero or the new Band Hero games that are only compatible with older DS models that have the GBA slot. This problem also affects of players of the DS Pokemon games that want to be able to complete the Pokedex that requires the GB A games to transfer Pokemon. To see info about the DSi XL look at this article from the UK version of nintendo power.http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.u k/article.php?id=12808&source=newsletter

Although it took a little longer than expected, this DSi has brought some peace to my house, since my electronic child has come back to normal mood, his DS broke and we sent it to be fixed and 2 months later it hasnt returned, the boy was complaining all the time because the game is his favorite. Now with the i, hes more than pleased, he can take pictures, post them in his website, he can edit images and play! I decided to buy it from you because I love your stores, and knew I was going to rece ive what I was buying. Thank you very much.

The DSi is a slimmer, slightly better version of the DS Lite. It has a PSP inspired menu when you turn the system on which is nice and they don't call the sections "Channels" anymore like the Wii. The two cameras are great, not the best camera resolution, more of the resolution of a cheap phone. It's made for fun but you could put them on the computer, but don't expect anything as good as a [..] Sony camera. Same with the sound which is good for fun. You could record yourself and chan ge everything and whatnot but it's mostly for fun. It does not except .mp3 files only .AAC which you could convert using iTunes and some computer smarts. The free Internet Browser really needs some tweaks starting with some flash downloads to be able to watch YouTube videos and other flash videos. The fact that you can't copy and paste like the iPod Touch internet is not great and most websites don't work unless they have a mobile version. The Shop Channel is nice I have to admit not as good as the Wii Shop Channel. I still used the GBA slot on my old DS but rarely, so that's not a problem. I still have my GBA SP if I want to play those and my DS Phat. I love the 5 different brightness settings. It makes me feel in control of my battery. The matte finish on the system is great, no more finger prints. The powdery blue DSi looks much better than the black which I have since [..] ran out of the blue. I do have trouble with connecting to the Wi-Fi.I rate it 4.5/5

cool
