Patio Hose Only

Though I wouldn't recommend this hose for a lawn or a space that actually needs 50' it works great for my 4' x 14' balcony. I don't have a water outlet but the 10 trips to the kitchen for water got old fast. I hook this up to my sink and leave the sprayer on the patio, turn the water on full and water my balcony garden effortlessly. I did have to return my frist one because the sprayer broke on the 3rd use. All in all, it's perfect for a small area and it does the job I bought it for. Yes, it c an get kinked up occasionally but it's easier to get out of the way and less heavy then a standard hose which is exaclty what I wanted.I didn't see this blue color in the store (I wanted it for a gift) but I bought the red one which is the color I wanted.

Strange Thing :o)

It's not that it's a bad hose...the color is totally weird but if you don't care about appearances that wont matter and you won't lose it unless you have it in a swimming pool. The cord pulls back very easy and pulls forward very easy too so that is nice. However I thought that it would make my water pressure stronger by being thinner and I was not correct in that thinking so it doesn't really do what I want with my low water pressure. If it is for a small Garden...it will be great :o)

Owned this hose for 6 weeks, used it lightly. A hole burst in the thing when the water was on - guess it couldn't hold up to the pressure? Perhaps it had a manufacturing defect in that one spot? Whatever - I will bring it back to the store and hopefully get a replacement. I have it in the off white color and it matches my house paint perfectly, so it kinda disappears visually. Hope the next one holds up!

Sproing!

We live in a 3rd floor apartment with a little backyard garden. There's no spigot outside (aargh) so I was hauling water down the three flights of stairs every other day to keep my plants lush and the birdbath clean. I had been looking for a lightweight hose i could hook up to my kitchen sink (you can buy an adapter @ the hardware store fairly cheap!)and drop out the window- a regular garden hose was not feasible since it's far too cumbersome and a pain to store in our little space. So far this coiled hose has worked really well; I screw on the faucet adapter, hook it up to it and toss the other end out the window (sproiiing!) and water away. In places i can't quite reach i use it to fill up the watering can. I also squirt unsuspecting squirrels, hah! Then when i'm done I go back upstairs, pull it back thru the window, and drop it in a bucket to drain out. It gets stored in my utility closet with my other garden stuff.I noticed that other people were complaining about it being flimsy for their gardens and it not lasting thru the winter. All things considered this hose is probably not meant to be left outdoors; I'm pretty sure that any sort of garden equipment which is "pretty" or comes in your choice of color is not gonna be something that will take a beating, hah. But it works for me, and I'm a fairly discerning garden maven If i do say so myself. It's definitely designed more for gardeners in my situation, with small spaces who will store it indoors out of the weather. Otherwise, get yourself a real hose!

I need a regular hose that didn't take up too much space, this one is perfect and coils up nice and I've had it for two years! Haven't had any issue and the nozzel it's the best quality but works fine.

I have had this hose for 4 years now- I use it almost every day to water my flowers and wash my dogs. It is perfect for city living- I can unhook it and store it in the laundry room, or just leave it outside on our patio with now worries. The only reason I am now buying another one is because my dogs got bored this month and decided to chew 3 holes in it...grrrr. I am happy to see they still have this product cause I love mine!

I absolutely love it. After owning two other coil hoses that would always get tangled, I learned how to use them carefully and this one has not tangled.

Hose Diameter Too Small

The first thing to be aware of is that the diameter of this hose is extremely small. This makes it impossible to use with most sprinklers or watering systems. I'm guessing it's 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter. Note it doesn't list the diameter size here which is the most important thing to consider when buying a watering hose. Other retailers list the diameter as 3/8 inch which is to small for most watering sprinklers to work properly, which I discovered by trial. Average size hoses run from 5/8, 3 /4 to 1 inch in diameter. The second thing is that the coiling wears out very quickly.

Cheap junk

This hose developed pin-sized holes in it within a few weeks of light garden watering use. I was happy with its operation overall - until the leaks. Just another stupid, ripoff piece of consumer junk.
