Original Slumber Bear with Silkie - Ice Blue product details page

I was expecting more from this. We bought this for our 2 month old because he was having trouble sleeping on his own. The bear claims to be motion and sound activated but he will be screaming and it doesn't go off. I have to physically touch the sound box for it to work. When it does go off it seems to calm him, but it doesn't stay on for long enough or go back on easy enough.

It's a nice bear and the idea of it sounds good in theory, but it didn't work for my son. Perhaps he was too old to start with it. I didn't get it until he was a month old. If I had gotten it right when he was born, perhaps it would have worked. Also, the sounds were supposed to start again when he cries,but they didn't.

I bought this for my newborn and he loves it. The most useful is that it starts up when he makes noise so it puts him back to sleep easier. I recommend this to every parent.

Our son loves the sound of the heartbeat that this makes. It is great that it comes back on when he cries and that the sound machine can be removed from the bear. So far proven very useful!

I was very happy with the quality of the bear. It's extremely soft and cuddly! However, I don't think the womb noises are loud enough to calm my 11 week old son once he's crying/screaming. Cute bear though!

I bought this bear because my son liked the heartbeat sound on his boppy bouncer, so we were going to use the bear in his crib. DIDNT WORK...It would turn off after 5 minutes and he would scream when it turned off and the bear never turned back on as promised. Im returning this item tomorrow.

I took this bear to the hospital when I had my son 10 days ago. He would fall right to sleep when we turned it on. He had jaundice pretty bad and had to be in the billirubin light 24/7. It broke my heart not to be able to hold him, but he never fussed, as long as we kept the bear in the bed with him. If he made a noise, it would activate the sound - which was great!

We had a really fussy baby the first few weeks and found SHHing him worked well. But at 2am you are too tired to SHH for a long time. Then we remembered we had this bear. We turned it on and it worked like a charm. After that first night we took the sound machine out of the bear and walked around with that on our shoulder. It worked great. The only complaint I have is that it is on a timer. It will only sound for 5 minutes. It will pop back on if you simply tap it but on really fussy nights it can be enough to jar him awake.

I purchased the slumber bear after reading the other reviews. It really is wonderful. The womb noise helped my son fall asleep and also put himself back to sleep. My only complaint is that I need to replace the batteries about once a week - he moves a lot at night and turns it on.

The description says that this is motion activated and turns on when the baby fusses...this is a lie, you have to turn it on there is no motion activation to it. You turn it on and it last for five minutes and doesnt turn back on with noise or movement, bear isnt very soft, but silkie is. Dont recommend this product.
