I really like this rice cooker! It cooks the rice so perfectly every time and it's sooo easy. That's what I like the most about it because I need as much help as possible in the kitchen. It is easy to clean too!

I had been shopping for rice cookers for a while and decided on this one [...]The rice cooker stands up to what it is suppose to do. The rice is cooked to perfection and the veggies I can steam them. When I come home from a long day at work, I have dinner ready that is healthy and good and hot on cold days all in a matter of minutes. I would recommeded this product to everyone.

I only used it to cooked rice once so far, and I think...Cons: - A few minutes after I turned it on, some smoke started to come out between the base & the pot. We turned it off, checked it & didn't see anything, so we gave it another try & the smoke went away after a few minutes. It seems like something might needed to burn off at the very first time we use it. - The glass lid feels not as thick & strong as my older rice cooker lid. - The material that is used for the steam bask et a bit too thin, not as well build as the one on my older rice cooker.- The only measurement line inside the pot was a line & a word 'Max'. No guide lines for the amount of rice or water.- The steamer hole has a rubber ring instead of metal/aluminum.- It took about 25 minutes to cook until the rice was done.- The cord is a bit too short.- The holes on the steamer pot are a bit too big.Pros: - The rice came out great.- We didn't eat the rice right away & kept it on the warm option, & the rice didn't stick to the bottom of the pot nor turned brown.- It came with measuring cup & rice serving spoon.- It beeps once when it's done cooking.

Excellent product!

I cannot believe how great this rice cooker is - don't believe I went as long as I did without it. The rice comes out perfect, and I even steamed vegetables and salmon in the top steamer at the same time. This is such a great value too. I use this weekly.

I'm glad that I'm only out [$] for this thing. I've tried it twice, hoping that it was user error the first time I burned the rice. The rice burned to the bottom of the pan before it finished cooking, even though I followed the instructions/recipe meticuliously. The second time I even started with more water than the recipe called for and added water twice. I did not stand over it (that's why I got the stinkin' thing) and blasted if it did not burn again. I've had it for a couple of months and don't have the sales slip or I'd take it back. That's my own fault, should have checked it out throughly as soon as I purchased it. The fact that it's a little useless counter-space-waster is Oster's. First Oster anything I have purchased and it will be the last.

This rice cooker is horrible. I would give it zero stars. It burns the bottom of the rice every time no matter what I do. I wish I had taken it back right away.

Burnt, undercooked rice anyone?

No matter how much rice or water I have tried adding, the bottom burns...the top is underdone. Tried stirring throughout, just got sticky underdone rice. Tried unplugging during warming cycle...nothing helps. You get what you pay for.

I was skeptical about this little cooker when I first opened it...it doesn't have the measurement markings in the pot like most cookers do, and there is only one button, "on"...very basic. I decided to try it anyway, I mean how lazy am I if I don't feel like measuring out water instead of just filling to the line in the pot? I'm glad I tried it. The rice came out perfect, but you have to measure the water exactly with the included cup. I would not leave the cooker on much longer after it is done, as the rice does start to stick to the bottom and "brown" slightly when left on, but every rice pot I've used since I learned to cook has done this. I'm just glad I used it before reading the reviews! I'm going to keep it and see how long it lasts because it did exactly what I needed it to and at a great price.

This rice cooker was terrible. It over-cooked all the time. It over-flowed and always left a mess on my counter. There was always a layer of rice stuck to the bottom. I am returning it and trying out another kind!
