I finally broke down and bought this chair and let me tell you it has not disapointed. I love being able to read face down, what an awesome idea. The chair is pretty light too and the carry strap makes it easy to carry. I also enjoy that the chair is higher off the ground than most which makes it easier to get in and out. My only complaint is that my daughter keeps taking mine! Nice job, would certainly recommend to others. Thanks Target!

I bought three of these chairs a couple of years ago. I wanted the old trifold and thought how ingenious to include a reading and arm holes. The first summer two of them had the ratcheting break (one within weeks of arrival). If you laid into the face cradle your nose would fall almost to the ground. They were still usable if you switched the head part of the chair to the foot part, so essentially you couldn't use it to read anymore. The last one lasted for two summers. I live in Oregon so our summers are only 2 months. I would use it probably twice a week and always brought it in out of the sun and rain. It started to tear and by August had ripped through and could not hold my weight (130#). I still want one of the old vinyl trifolds but may pony up the bigger bucks for something with a longer warranty These are worth [$] but no way worth [$]! They were [$] when I bought them and not worth that then.

We just returned this (new) due to the fact that the 'face cushion' is neither washable or removable. The fabric will easily get dirty & greasy & make it unusable. It should also have a weight limit of about 160 lbs & under 5'10'. Anything over that will limit its life. This would be great for smaller kids or adults with limited lying down 'porthole' use.

I bought this chaise lounge as a present for my adult daughter and she is very pleased with it. She likes to be able to read while laying on her stomach sun-bathing, and she likes the wood armrests which stay cool in the sun. She has not had it long, but so far it is a hit.

as a beach lounge chair, this functions very adequately, is sturdy and has nice wooden arm rests. i purchased it primarily for its unique feature which allows one to read on ones stomach. I am using it however now not at the beach, but in my home for purposes of recuperating from surgery which does not permit me to lie on my back for long periods. So i read lying on my stomach in the lounge chair. It works well except that the head/face hole is not adjustable and so after a while it begins to i rritate the sides of the face, so i put a soft cloth around the hole. Also its distance from the book on the floor is not too adjustable so one's reading distance is somewhat fixed, and for me a bit too short (ie. I would prefer to have the book a bit further away from my eyes) but that would make the chaise higher. As a regular chaise, very comfortable.
