For most of the past 18 years I haven't followed PJ closely, but I heard good things about this record so I decided I'd check it out. The album itself is excellent. The songs are shorter than one might expect, and at only 36 minutes or so it's a pretty quick listen, yet the material is powerful and well-written and the performances are tight, so it's worthwhile. If you can't decide whether to pay [$] for the CD or [$] to download, I say go with the CD, as it comes with two free full concert dow nloads. There are about a dozen shows from which to choose, recorded from 2005 through 2008. Longtime PJ fans know the band makes many (if not all) of its concerts available on its website, where they sell for around [$]. So the ability to choose two shows represents a pretty good value, IMO, especially if you like live recordings (and I do). For [$] I got 4 & 1/2 hours of music - which major band is offering a better value these days? I believe nobody even comes close.

PJ keep on rockin!!

This is a great album, perhaps one of Pearl Jam's best to date. The songs are more upbeat and less angry than the past couple of albums and that is a welcome change in my book. Buy this CD, crank it up and enjoy!

I haven't listened to the album yet but this is my sage advice for those who bought the CD hoping to get free concert downloads. Kudos to you for buying a CD, first of all. Secondly, you have to run the start.exe file off the CD while disc is inserted into computer. Pick your two concerts to download and away you go!

Good album

A bit different than most of their work (lighter) and maybe a bit too heavy on the drums - but all in all a good album. Still haven't figured out how to get the downloads - bought in store - no codes or websites listed for the downloads.

I can't stop listening to this record. It's more mainstream than any of their previous records, but it still rocks my socks off like all of their previous albums.

I've listened to this album 4-5 times already and it just keeps getting better. The melodies are great and Eddie's vocals sound perfect. I didn't have any trouble downloading the two free concerts that were offered along with the disc.

Great comeback!

You can just feel the energy in this latest ripper from P.J. It has the 'Yield' feel especially with Brendan O'Brien producing this killer uptempo album. Way good, you'll be very pleased.

Hard to believe this is the same band that released Ten. This lacks the emotion and groove that made them so influential to begin with.Save your money, go back and listen to Ten & Apple! This will flood the used CD stores quickly.
