We purchased one of these and had to take it back the very next morning because when we tried to assemble it the snap on the cover broke. I exchanged it for another one. Shortly after assembly the snap on the cover broke (on the new one) as well as a tire popped and the axel broke. Thank God my kids were not in it we were trying to get it hooked up to the bike. We ended up taking the second one back today and investing more money in one that would be safe for our two kids. We were very unsatisf ied with this product. It is not safe to put kids in!!!

Like several other reviewers, our Instep bike trailer just fell apart. The nylon straps just literally disintegrated. We bought it a year ago and have kept it in our garage for the last several months. We got it out for a ride today and are very angry about the straps. Seriously, how can they sell a product this defective? Other than the straps the trailer looks brand new. We only used it twice last year. What a waste of money! I will never buy anything Instep again out of fear for the safety o f my child. I have never posted an online review before but this made me so mad I had to do it!

We love this bike trailer. We do not find the straps to be user friendly, but they have not fallen apart as others have reported. The stroller part is amazing, and the bike part gives the kids a smooth ride.

I was so excited when I bought this item 2 days ago for my 1 year old. It was on clearance in the store (only %58.99 vs. $...online). My husband pulled it out of the box and one side was broken where it folds. After a few minutes of manipulation and trying to determine if it was fixable (or even really broken and not just folded past it's locking point), the other side broke too. Cheap. If it breaks just from folding and unfolding, then I wouldn't trust it on the road/trails with my toddler ins ide. Also, inside the box was a big red paper saying Do Not Return to store, but to contact manufacturer instead. Called Target, they said I could return it, but wondering if the manufacturer already knows their product is junk.Buy something else.

Wow. I bought this trailer for my daughter in April of 2009. As we live in Phoenix, it was under our carport (out of the sun) for a good part of the summer when it was too hot to ride.I was just prepping our bikes for an event tomorrow, and like others who have left similar reviews, all of the straps literally turned to dust when I touched them.I am MAD! This is ridiculous, especially given the fact that money is tight and we have a BIKE EVENT to attend tomorrow. I will be contacting the manufa cturer and requesting a refund. In the meantime I guess I'll go try to find a seat to mount to my bike. What a piece of junk.

I bought this trailer less than a year ago. Shortly after, the snaps started rusting, so I couldn't snap the canopy down. Then the straps started to disintegrate and then I was carefully tightening one and the strap broke off. Whatever material was used for the straps is of very poor quality. I've had strollers for years and the straps never fell apart on me. The store I purchased it from refused a refund because of their 90 day return policy and I have still not heard anything fron Instep.com in regards to getting a better product.

I would highly recommend not buying this product if you live in a hot climate (such as western TX). We bought this product at the beginning of summer, used it everyday but put it immediately in our storage shed when we were done. The straps holding the seat and the seatbelt straps disentegrated. Sadly, they snapped when we were on a bike ride and went over a bump. Scared my 2 year old son who was riding in it! Very unsafe product and I would not recommend it.

I bought this for my dog and my dog loves riding around in it.She feels safe and with 2 cushions placed in the lower area in the front she is very comfortable. It is meant for kidsbut works well for small dogs. I would not do this on a real hot day though. Good for cooler days. It does look like it could get very hot in there. Very easy to ride with a 20 lb. dog in the trailer. I'm thrilled that she enjoys it so much.

I have two children - ages 2 and 4. I wanted a way to get in shape and have them with me. This trailer absolutely does that. If the straps that support the fabric seat are tightened, it supports both my children comfortably. I have not found the straps to be difficult to work, you just have to figure a method that works for you. I have adjusted the straps to make my children comfortable and they never complain of pain or being pinched. I have found that the tires deflate some. We've owned it fo r about two months and use it two to three times a week and I just had to put air in the tires yesterday. It pulls well and connects and disconnects very easily. My children are comfortable and like the pockets for toys. I haven't tried it in stroller mode, other than in the living room to figure it out, but seems like it would function great as a stroller, just is a little bulkier than a traditional, but it also fits two kids side by side. I'm very happy with this trailer and would highly recommend it.

All of the straps on this trailer completely disintigrated. They aren't just torn off, they have crumbled into powder. We've had it a bit over a year. Also, the sling seat is very uncomfortable for 2 kids. Cheap junk.
