I had been using an old conair flat iron and it had been doing an ok job, but wanted a new one. I have a bob haircut, fine hair with a slight annoying wave to it and occasional frizz. I made an awesome choice buying this new Remington one.yes, it costs a bit more than some of the others, but WORTH EVERY PENNY It gets my hair sooooo straight with just one pass, just like the [$$$] flat iron my hair dresser uses. The bonus is when i wake up the next day, i have very little touch up to do on my h air-usually just a little dampening/quick blow dry of my side swept bangs and i'm good to go-it keeps very straight for several days,unlike my old iron.For people complaining the product stopped working after a few months, all you need to do is keep your receipt! Remington has a limited 4 year warranty to replace the flat iron if it stops working

I bought this item in October 2010, and it worked fine for 4 months. It looks like I'm not the only one with this problem after reading the other reviews. It will shut off randomly, usually after less than 5 minutes. Sometimes the light will be on but it won't show the bars or heat up, and it won't heat back up if I turn it on after one of its shutdown episodes.[....] iron works, it's great. I expect an appliance to last a lot longer for the price though. I've had hair dryers and curling irons from another major hair appliance brand that just won't die!

I have very thick, wavy, blonde, frustrating hair. I had a Conair hair straightener before this, but it broke, and it cost the SAME! I was debating between this and a Chi, but this cost much less and it works amazing. I can straighten my hair fast, and it stays straight ALL day.

i just got this product today and i already love it. my hair is very frizzy, thick, wavy, and long. this product takes the frizz right out and makes your hair very straight. i have no complaints and i suggest this product to everyone.

I have wild frizzy hair and my "Good Quality Salon" flat iron did not even compare to this Remington Frizz Therapy Straighter. My hair laughs at all products and flat irons. I was so amazed on how flat and straight my hair is...smooth and movable. I have found a product that defeated my hair and WON! I will use this until it STOPS WORKING! Best PRODUCT I have purchased in a long time.

I was completely blown away by this straightener. It gives the salon quality right at home. For this price I would say that it is definitely worth it, even in comparison to the higher end brands I would prefer these. I was worried as to if it would produce what was desired but it did exactly what I was looking for. The model I'd also chic looking and lightweight. The function that also allows it to lock was surely a helpful feature. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality straigh tener at a lower price. It also comes with a 3 or 4 year warranty for the product which is definitely a bonus!

This straightener is the best I've ever used. I have very thick, frizzy hair and it tames it and keeps it straight for several days. I LOVE it!

So I almost never write reviews for products but I had to because this product LIVES UP TO & EXCEEDS what you see on the label & advertised.Like most reviewers, I have very curly (wet my hair in middle back, dried just at shoulder). I was at the last straw before giving up & going to get Keratin. Until I found my new best friend/ product. After a quick half blow dry, I use this to straighten. It takes 20 mins max! My hair comes out straight & frizz free. I also tried without all the extra product I normally use & it was even better. Even if go out for lunch, or have a day on the road in the brutal FL humidity by evening my hair still looks good. I am actually looking fwd to the summer & not having my hair in a tight bun for every occasion!I think I might buy another as back-up because I just dont think I want to ever do without it!

I have very think hair that tends to be naturally wavy. It's not a cute wavy - but a frizzy, uneven way. Therefore, I straighten my hair every morning before work and usually on the weekends as well. I have contemplated keeping a straightener at my desk for touchups since in the Florida heat/humidity, my hair tends to frizz up and get a nasty wave in the back before lunchtime. So on a whim, I purchased this product two weeks ago. I have used it every morning, and have not had to touch my hair u p at all throughout the day. My hair is pin straight, silky, smooth and not at all frizzy. This was the best purchase I've ever made. I almost considered having a keratin treatment done and now I'm so glad I purchased this straightener instead. I have received many comments on how soft and straight my hair is. The iron is a bit smaller than I'm used it - I'm used to skinny but long straighteners. This one is a bit uncomfortable to hold but I imagine I'll get used to it. If I'm straightening my hair after a shampoo and blow-dry, I use the highest heat setting. If I washed it in the previous day or two, I set it to about 370-390 degrees just to straighten it out from wearing it up or from bedhead. Also, holding down the "-" minus button locks the buttons so you can't accidentally turn it off/up/down during use.

I just got this product today, and it is absolutely fantastic! I have thick curly hair and it took me probably 15-20 minutes to straighten it. It normally takes me 30-45 minutes. And my hair is so smooth and frizz free! I highly recommend it
