Revlon Ionic Dryer - Pink product details page

I rarely review products but this one I just had to. Not even 10 minutes ago, I was blow drying my hair, I put down this dryer and then turned it back on to dry my curls. The handle was extremely warm and had I not looked in the mirror while drying my hair, my hand could have been blown off. The dryer shut off and I hurried and put it down and I seen smoke and a few pops went off along with one last red pop in the handle then smoke let out. It was frightening. I'm upset that the dryer lasted on ly 2 months, I'm more upset to see that this product is still available, I would appreciate that this be taken off the shelves throughout the country. Please do NOT buy this product. The extra money spent on a hairdryer is absolutely necessary in order to help safety in your own home. Please take my advice!

i really like this blow dryer, before i went to college i used it every week when i washed my hair and it dried my hair completely. its been almost a year with the dryer. i don't understand how some users went through three or more dryers in a year. i unfortunately left mine back home when i moved to college and now i miss it. i will re purchase this immediately. the only con is that its really light weight and that may make you think that is really cheap quality, but it really isn't

I really liked this blow dryer because the price was right and it got the job done, however, I went through two of these in one year! It definitely doesn't hold up to everyday use, especially if you have longer hair and use it longer than the average woman or man.

I keep buying this same dryer because it is so cheap, it's pink, and it works well for a while. All of the good reviews here are in the first few weeks of use, which are accurate, but it soon falls to pieces. I have gone through 3 in the last year and a half. Each time it just completely stops working in the middle of a drying session, and no matter what I do, it never restarts, and I have to buy another one. Also, this last time, the 3rd dryer, was ridiculously hot. I got used to it, but when my mom came to visit and used it, she said it basically burned her and I need to replace it immediately. I have also had the red coil before with it like another review mentioned. It also has started by itself when it is just sitting on the counter and nobody is in the bathroom, so I learned to unplug it after each use. I will not try it a 4th time. Spend a little more money and get quality.

I bought this dryer about a year ago or so, and it always felt like it heated too hot when in use, then finally the surge protector broke on it, and right before it did it burnt the back of my neck with the intensity of the heat right before it breaking.

Please do not buy this product. I bought this hair dryer a few months ago and I've used it 2-3 times a week at most. This morning as I was drying my hair I started to smell something burning and when I looked at the hair dryer it was glowing red (on fire!) inside of the handle! I dropped it really quick and pulled the plug. SCARY!!!

I bought this because of the great price, as well as the pink color! This is the best buy you will find, it dries hair so fast! I am glad I made this purchase on Target.com.

I owned my last hair dryer for a good 8 years before it retired. In my search for a new hair dryer, the main feature that I was looking for were different heat settings with ionic to prevent damage to the hair and reduce flyaways.My kids and I wash our hair daily so it was very important to find a suitable model within our budget. I like that the lowest heat setting is not too hot for my 3-yr old. The unit is light and very easy to use . . . even my 8-yr old can use it independently. Last but n ot least, I don't feel like our hair is over-heated after blow drying for 10 mins. (see we all have long hair so it takes a while) Well worth it!

Great so far. I've had it for a few weeks now. Only con is that it is a little heavy but no big deal.
