We received this decanter as a housewarming gift. It was kept in the china hutch until we took it out to use it. Not sure if it was knocked or hit something but it was chipped with a DEEP crack and splinter all down the neck. We can't even recall anything touching it. We washed it before so I know it wasn't cracked when we got it. The glass feels very flimsy, nothing like the regular Riedel glasses I have used before. Very disappointed.

This balloon decanter is beautiful. The crystal is delicate and the shape is very sleek. It is a perfect addition to a nice bottle of wine. It makes a great gift.
