Just spent four hours assembling this and it literally fell apart. On one of the last steps, the back panel can't really slide in once sides are assembled. Nudging my "finished" dresser into place against my wall caused the dresser top to pop off and then all the sides and front panels to splay open and the drawers to fall out. Wish I could post a picture. What a mess. Waste of time, energy and money.

I bought this drawer for the bedroom in my first apartment. Although, it was easy to assemble the drawers did not last very long. I found the drawers to be very unsturdy.

Nice, but takes a lot of time and patience to assemble

This dresser looks beautiful once it's completely assembled. It's very stylish in a minimalistic, Scandinavian way. Getting there, however, requires an entire afternoon, lots of space to work, no interruptions, and plenty of patience. Here's my advice... 1. Work slowly and methodically. Don't tackle this unless you have several hours to spend on it. 2. Go through all of the pieces and match them to the illustrations in the instructions. Many of the parts look very similar but are not the same. 3. There's a page at the beginning of the instructions that explains how to tighten the "cams" properly. It takes a fair amount of strength to do this, so get some help if necessary. 4. Read each step of the instructions carefully, several times, before starting to put pieces together for that step. I've read some of the negative reviews for this dresser, and I think some of the poor results people have had are the result of rushing and/or not following the instructions perfectly.

Trying to put this together was a nightmare. I'm so frustrated!!! The amount of time it has taken to put together and then see it fall apart because the pieces are so flimsy is maddening. I will not buy a piece from Target again. Do not buy!!!!

I purchased this and the 6-drawer chest for my husband and I when they were on sale a year ago. I was very happy about the price but learned that you get what you pay for. On a carpeted floor, this furniture is dangerous. The i-beam underneath does not support the dresser properly so it tips over. We even used the pieces to fix it to the wall, but the the dresser tipped over and yanked the fitting out. In the process my jewelry box, given to me by my mother as a child, was smashed. We've been stuffing old books under the edge to keep the dresser from toppling over again and again, but we now have a baby in the house and I'm going to have to get rid of the dressers. I don't want my son to get smashed too.

I purchased this unit because I needed two, to sort out both of my children's clothes and the dimensions fit into the place I wanted them. Material, particle board, heavy, laminate surface. Construction, fairly easy to put together, instructions are not effective, aluminum anchors break easily if you're not careful. Price, expensive for what you get. Overall this unit fit my needs, but will not be a long term solution to growing boys and their clothes. The unit is shallow and the drawers d o not pull out very far. The unit is heavy and I would suggest using the included straps to hold it to the wall, whether on carpet or hard floors. I would NOT move the unit too much as I get the feeling it would break apart as there is little central support. I would recommend this for people who cannot afford a real piece of furniture, but want a nice looking place to put items.

Went to the store & bought this piece in the blonde wood. Total piece of junk!!! My husband spent 2hrs putting it together.....the spacers b/w the drawers are all coming out of the right side, so now there's a big gap in b/w them! The drawers do not close all the way b/c the screws they give u to hold the tracks in are not flush & too big so the rail hits the screws making the drawers stick open about 1-2in. They give you "straps" to bolt to the back of the dresser to anchor i t to the wall!!!! that should be your first clue b/c you cannot open the drawers without the whole thing toppling over. We bought this piece of junk yesterday & plan on returning it today!!! Even though it's put together.....they better take it back b/c i'm not payiny [$]......for a piece of junk!!!!

After spending the few hours that it took to put this together, the style of it looked great in my bedroom. However, it only stayed together for a month. It began with bulging at the sides and ended with the drawers ripping out of the side rails. I couldn't even pull the drawers out to get my clothes without making it worse. Don't waste your money and time.

The first one I ordered had several cracked, chipped, dented, snapped pieces and was missing all of the hardware. The box had been opened and retaped -- clearly someone purchased it, failed to put it together, then returned it. Then Target decided to pass it on to me. So after several phone calls with Target, I arranged for them to pick it up and they sent me a new one. Guess what I got this time? Another used piece of furniture. This one at least had the screws -- but no glue -- but pieces were chipped and there's the obvious sign that the box had been cut open and retaped. I'm going to return it for a refund and just go to [Retailer] and spend a little more. It's a shame, because the equally inexpensive bookshelf I ordered from Target arrived in perfect condition and looks great in my room. I've also ordered several other pieces of do-it-yourself furniture from Target in the past and have not had such issues. I don't know what the deal is with this one.

Don't Buy.

I am going to avoid Target furniture from now on. The wood is all cork board, so the screws don't hold. Within one month, the wood began to bow outwards, the panels that go across the front popped out, because they only give you glue to hold it together. Now the drawers don't reach the sides of the dresser and slide on the tracks properly...so I can't close it. It's a piece of junk.
