3 years ago I purchased a pair of stools in my local Target. We just added two more to our expanded kitchen bar. We can't believe that the original 2 are still as good as new! It took just a minute to put together. The lift works easily. They are very comfortable - even for my 200 lb. husband. And the price is amazingly affordable. When we have company I lower them to chair height and add them to the living area. Downside is the shiny chrome bases show dust & spills more than a brushed meta l. We use them daily; breakfast, lunch, newspaper reading, & keeping each other company while cooking. I also liked that they are sleek and light weight. Our condo is small and we didn't want large stools to overwhelm the area. Plus we love the swivel so we're not pushing them in and out. If you like the look BUY them - they're PERFECT.

These are very good looking, comfortable and easy to put together. Will be perfect for a breakfast bar and have adjustable height. Amazing deal !

Very nice bar stools, fully height adjustable depending on the height of your bar and simple to put together! Definitely recommended for any breakfast bar!

We just bought a house and my boyfriend already had one of these stools (which he bought to use for Rockband), so we bought 2 more. They fit great at our countertop space that would probably fit 2 standard barstools, but 3 of these fit perfectly in the space. They are good quality and easy to put together and fast shipping. I highly recommend.

Got two black stools as a gift, 30 days ago that were bought from the local Target. One broke. The bottom where its welded cracked/broke out all the way around and made it wobble and be unsafe. Took it back to the store, they said they would exchange it, but they do not carry them in the store anymore. Target.com carries them, They told me call them. Because they were not bought from target.com, they cant replace the stool, they cannot send one to the stool for me to pick up, Your local Target, and Target.com are two separate companies who do not work together. They tell me to call the company who made them, which is Boraam.com, they cannot help me either, even though it "might" be their chair they supplied to Target, he said they supply target.com, and not the stores themselves. The chair that was bought from the store was from another company, using cheep inferior parts most likely he says. So, 30 days old, they have our money, and we have some cheep crappy stools, and one is broken and cannot be used, they wont refund, or give a simple replacement part, or even a replacement stool. Screw Target, and Target.com, they are thieves!

I ordered the scoop swivel gas lift stools for my newly renovated kitchen. I looked for the perfect stools for almost a year. I was visiting a friend and LOVED her stools. I asked her where she got them and she said, "Target." I immediately went online from my phone and ordered two sets! My [...]. I bought four of these stools in June of 2007 and am finally down to one last broken stool. They were used heavily and for the most part withstood the use. In the photo there is a black ring at the bottom of the stem just above the base - on mine this was below the foot bar and broke quickly on all 4 stools, winding up where the one in the photo is but looking out of place. The bases corroded more quickly than I expected. The stools finally gave out one at a time from being sat on and adjusted frequently. Overall for the price I think they held up well, but I'd rather have paid more for something that lasted longer.

These stools are pretty indestructable aside from the plastic black seat part- beware, it scratches fairly easily. I am very happy with the shipping and the actual stools. They are an attractive addition to my decor. I just ordered a second set of two so that I could have four at my kitchen counter. The adjustable height is great for my toddlers to be able to eat at the counter.

I ordered the singular stool with no incident. It came already assembled and looks great. Wanting only three stools for our new kitchen, I ordered the set of two as it was less costly with the free shipping. Upon taking them out of the box, one seat was cracked so both had to be returned. I reordered only to now receive a cherry farmhouse tile top table instead of the stools, with the invoice for the stools pasted on it! Someone is asleep at the wheel! Another screw-up and I'm done with Target. This lack of quality assurance is unacceptable.

These chairs are just great for the area I am using them, my kitchen bar. They look great and seem well made and function as described. If I needed more than the two I bought I would buy again.
