The smell of most cleaners irritates my allergies. So I appreciate this mop because all you need is water. It is simple to use and no mess.

Just like all the other reviewers stated, it works well at first but it stops steaming after about a year. Yes it has a loud pop and then it stops steaming. I took it apart one time and cleaned it all out with a wire and it worked about another month. Not long enough for all the effort it took to take it apart. At the price it is now I feel it is worth it as long as it works a year.

I bought my first one of this product in January 2010. It lasted 1 year before it made a pop sound and then stopped steaming. I bought another because I loved it so much for my tile floors that I thought it was a fluke. The second one just died, it lasted 1 more month than the first one. I paid over [$] each for these, the price is lower now. I give up, I am buying a different brand.

I bought this mop about 18 months ago. I used it probably about twice a week. A little less frequently lately. I paid a lot more than it is priced for now. I really enjoyed it at first. It does exactly what it says it does and gave me great satisfaction knowing that my floors were sanitized. I have a young son who is always on the floor playing. So just the other day I took out the mop filled it and plugged it in. As it started to heat up it made a loud pop sound and the plastic on the side pre tty much exploded outward and it shut off. Now it just doesn't heat up. The light goes on but no steam, the water just leaks out the bottom. I am very disappointed and upset with this complete waste of money. I always followed the instructions as far as storage. I never stored it with water in it, I always stored it upright. As I talk to other people who have had the same mop at least two others I know personally have said a similar thing happened to their mops. Just say no to Shark!

The shark mop is awesome if you have little ones crawling around on the floor! It sanitizes the floor and cleans very well. Before i got this mop, I used the Swiffer WetJet Mop and had to use 3 of the pads everytime I mopped! Plus, it used chemicals which made me weary with a little one crawling on the floor and getting it on his hands all day. Very satisfied with the mop. The only down side is that if you have something caked onto the floor, you might have to use a straight-edge razor to scrap e it off as the mop does not scrub very well. But that's with most mops.

We've been using the Swiffer WetJet for a while now and it was frustrating to have to constantly be buying more of the expensive pads and cleaning solution. And half the time it didn't want to get up all the dirt off the floor anyway. This is a great option to clean the floor and with the deal we got on Black Friday, we will quickly recoup the costs we would have incurred with the[brand name]...

I just got my mop and filled the tank, plugged it in and cleaned my kitchen floor. Wow it was so easy and cleaned so well. The nice long cord makes doing the whole room easier too. I had read some comments about it not working at all and was concerned but read the book and pumped the handle as directed and had plenty of steam. Am so happy I purchased this one.

This is a very good product and it does eventually get the floor clean. However, it does not clean as fast and effortless as it looks on TV. You must have patience to go back-n-forth over areas where grease or touch stains are on the floor. Although, I was impressed with elbow grease on my part and patience the grease finally begin to be removed. There is still a little sticky grease residue but I believe with a little more daily effort, eventually this will come off too. It worked well on my l inoleum in the bathroom. I got better results on the carpet without the carpet glider. It will not clean carpet as good as a regular carpet cleaner. I had to get carpet cleaner to get pet stains out because the steam mop did not remove them. When I used the carpet glider it perked up the carpet and made it look fresher. I wish there was a way to make the swivel head, not swivel when working on a tough stain. You will need to buy extra mop pads, unless you like doing laundry after mopping each room. Overall, it works ok and you will get a nice facial while you are mopping.
