Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bar Soap and Lotion Combo product details page

I haven't used the lotion yet, but I found this soap in my local Target and it looked so different and interesting I decided to try it. I'm sold. It really works for my oily skin and reduces breakouts on my body. It's also good for eczema and I'm going to buy it as a stocking stuffer for a friend of mine.

My age 50 skin is young-looking, thanks to parents, but reactive to most products I try (not fair since parents have great skin!). Trust me when I say I've tried just about everything. And trust me when I say the African Black Soap bar soap is the end of my decades-long search. My face is clear. It feels soft, it looks great, I don't even need makeup. If you have troubled or sensitive or reactive skin, please try it. My 13-year-old son was starting to break out (hello, puberty) so I bought him his own bar. He uses it now, too. It smells good, it feels good, it works!

I found this at target after reading about it in several beauty forums...It appealed to me due to a history of congested skin- milia- clogged pores, etc...I have used the Bar soap, the face scrub, the clay mask, and the balancing moisturizer--all the black soap line from Shea Moisture...I really am happy I gave it a try, as it almost immediately made my skin feel balanced and soft, but not over-moisturized and oily...and for everything that is NOT in this line-meaning parabens, sulfates, artifi cial scents...etc, It is so worth the small amount of money...In a day when face creams can cost $200 and up, how nice to find an effective product at a reasonable price!!! If you are looking for a new regimen, this is it...

I am very pleased with my purchase of Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bar Soap and Lotion. My 14-year old has acne and using these products is clearing it up. Thank you for making it available.

I purchased the black soap 2 weeks ago & love it. I did not buy the combo pack with the lotion. Seems a bit drying at first, but use a good moisturizer or use the soap once a day and you'll be fine. I have acne prone skin. This product has drastically decreased and really eliminated new breakouts and has reduced the appearance of my old acne marks. I was using multiple expensive products at first that didn't really help much, but now my answer is in ONE BAR! love this stuff. Everyone has co mplimented my face

I have had combination skin and mild acne throughout my teen years. I am now in my late 20s and the acne has not gone away. I have tried EVERYTHING to get my acne under control. I've used ProActiv, Acne-Free, and every kind of drugstore acne cleanser known to man. I saw the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Bar in a Target store in California while on vacation. I was absolutely blown away by how quickly this soap cleared up my acne and acne scars. I saw results within about 3 weeks of using the soap as a facial cleanser. I only used the soap on my face so the bar lasted about 6 months. My only complaint is that the soap initally made my skin feel dry but after I wash my face I moisturize with 100% pure Sweet Almond Oil. My skin glows all day long! I would definitely recommend this product for anyone battling mild acne and suffering from acne scars.

I absolutely love the soap. I use it on my face and all over my body. Since I have been using this, my face is not oily and I do not have to constanly check my face for fear that it is shiney. My skin feels moisturized all throught the day. Oh yeah, the smell is heavenly. Great product at a great price.

I've only used the bar soap from this particular package and it works AMAZINGLY, so I would guess the lotion works equally well. This bar makes a really luxurious lather and only removes the bad stuff from my pores leaving my skin so clean. In the past my combination/oily skin usually gets the occasional blemish, but since I've been using this for the last week I've scene a significant improvement in my skin clarity and texture. Aside from their reliable products, it's even better knowing that Shea Moisture is planet friendly beauty supplier.

I have been using this product for months now and I did not realize how great it was until I ran out and had to use an alternative soap. I now have full appreciation for the moisture it provides for my skin. I travel for work a lot and have a bar at home and one I take on the road with me. From time to time it is out of stock in the stores, however; I'll travel all aross town to ensure I have my Black Soap...simply amazing!
