This is good if you are needing a product to moisturize a really dry piece of hair or extremely tangled. Otherwise, it's too heavy, thick, and oily. I use it very sparingly. It does make hair greasy and doesn't need much product over it.

I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, and elixir over the weekend and I am in love. My hair feels clean and soft. The fragrance on this is amazing and it lasts a while. Unlike some of the other reviews, I did not find the elixir too heavy. It was just right for my thick head of hair. Also, I have seen very little to no breakage since I used these products. I will definitely be switching my hair treatment regimen to this set.

I thought I loved this spray until I noticed that it was leaving a heavy build up on the hair. It smells great and conditions the scalp well but I would not suggest applying it directly to your hair.

I love this product.. This is how I use it. My hair is extremely kinky and tangles. I spray 1 spray per section on my fingers and hand detangle that section. It's the best detangler ever. I used to have to wet my hair to detangle which leads to shrinkage. This is a far better method for me.

This oil is great. I use it as sealant. To use oil effectively, you need moisture. When I twist my hair at night, I used the Shea Moisture Hold and Shine Moisture spray first and then seal it with the Reconstructive Elixir. This insures that the moisture is sealed with oil. Most people will spray oil on their hair and believe it is moisturizing it---but if you read anything about oils and hair, you'll know that the most effective way is to have some type of moisture, i.e., water, and then seal it with oil. This Elixir is an all in one and will do both...but I prefer to use the Moisture spray in combination as the Hold and Shine gives my twists definition. Seems to be working quite well, and I get lots of compliments on my hair. What I love the most about Shea Moisture is 1. It works. 2. It's all natural. I realized that by using other products that contained silicones and other chemicals, I was actually causing more harm than good. Glad to be natural.

I started using this elixir about 6 months ago on my 3 yr old. She has thin/curly/soft hair. I needed something that would mold its shine and condition her hair. So far it has done it's job. It makes her hair feel so soft and brings out her natural curly locks. I use the thin/fine hair mist and hair milk with it. Together that make her hair smell so good. It's a long lasting smell...for days. I like it!

My 3yr old daughter has dry kinky curly hair that collects link balls. Hair like lambs wool. I dread combing her hair. I used this product today in addition to the shampoo and condition and I was impressed and amazed. Her hair was soft moist and easy to comb. I was able to wash and comb through her hair in 1/2 the usual time. Very little crying. Cant wait to try it on my hair. I have tried many other products and so far this is the best.

I have fine, thin, wavy to curly hair. While I have to be careful not to use too much, this is wonderful stuff! My hair was breaking and shedding terribly, but this is helping a lot!

I love this stuff. My hair is not a fan of oils and it's not of fan of shea butter really, but this oil is great for my hair and scalp. It lubricates without weighing it down. Gives great sheen and overall just makes my hair feel soft and pliable. Another staple for me.
