I bought this for making injera (Ethiopian crepe).. it's awesome! It's also great for reheating tortillas and making other crepe-like recipes (Dosa, etc.).

I have used this lefse grill for many years. It is perfect for making lefse and can be used for any type of flat bread, pancake, etc. It is important to have a thermostat that will heat to 500 degrees and this grill does. This year I bought one for each of my children.

We ordered the product at a better price from Target than we had found anywhere else. [...] ability to easily track my order was a nice feature and the product arrived at my home within a week in perfect condition. I got this grill for making lefse. It works great. Heats up quickly, and does a great job with frying the lefse evenly. I haven't used it to fry anything else just yet, but it works great for lefse.

I got my Bethany Housewares Heritage Grill with Teflon finish for making lefse. Ive used it 5 or 6 times for that and it works great.Better yet, it is the best grill Ive ever had for frying eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, pancakes, or cooking just about anything else thats grilled. The non-stick finish means its not necessary to use more than a light brush of oil to fry eggs, hash browns or other food that contain little grease of their own.And the Teflon seems indestructible. My grill has b een used almost daily for a year and a half, often by family members who are not as protective of the finish as I am, and its still pristine.Come to think of it, Ill have to take back the bit about me being the most careful one using my grill. Just the other day, I left it on with a turner on topa turner that melted into a liquid plastic pool on the beautiful non-stick surface. But everything wiped right off once the hot plastic cooled enough for me to do the wiping. Did I mention the surface seems indestructible?The only drawback, I suppose, is the late sixties look. That, Im guessing, is because its such a good product theres been no big push to change things up since the sixties. I think of it as stylishly retro and rejoice that this grills consistency over the years means I can order replacement legs, a new probe control, or replacement handles if needed.I could live without my electric fry pan or George Foreman type grill, but I wouldnt want to live without my Heritage grill.
