I have tried this on myself and on my friend. I normally don't wear face make up but on a specially I do need a little more coverage. I looked into this sponge and decided to try it out. It really does make my face look flawless and my friend. I wish I knew about it 3 years ago for other special occasions such as wedding and school dances. [...] I normally clean it with a toothbrush to get the stain off. I can see some part is falling off. But, this is only [$] and I got a set of 2 for it. The price is better than a beauty blender but not the quality of the material. Although this is not as great as beauty blending in my opinion, it's still great and works well if you just want to pay less.

Ladies, stop the presses. This little sponge is as close to the most perfect way to put on your foundation, ever. And I'm the world's biggest skeptic when it comes to makeup products and their promises. I've tried high-end, El Cheapo, and everything in between, and still hadn't found something that 100% delivers. However, this one's the real deal. Granted, it isn't a "makeup product," but a tool, instead. And what a valuable tool it is.Here's the scoop:Wash it with mild soap before 1s t use. Squeeze out the excess water and use DAMP to dab your favorite liquid foundation onto your clean, prepped face (rounded edge for large areas, pointy edge for nooks and crannies). You will see a DEWY, virtually FLAWLESS application. No streaks, no blending. Just dab, dab, dab all around your face and VOILA!I'm 38 years old and have had a love/hate relationship with liquid foundation since I was 15 because it has always been such a chore to make it look perfect. Plus, I now have a bit of Melasma on my cheeks, so covering that without looking like I piled on makeup was a pain in the rear. Well...not only was I able to achieve a beautifully finished look with the help of this sponge, but I was also able to cover my trouble spots, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (applied a small amount of concealer and then foundation) and have my skin look flawless. And there was no layering and layering of product!. I was SHOCKED. NOTHING had ever given me both coverage and finish that looked this good. So I went out and bought 3 more sponges today (to keep in my makeup stash) because I will NEVER, EVER wear liquid foundation again WITHOUT this sponge. Forget about those [$] Blender sponges. This one does the same job, for half the price. And I couldn't be more pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It's a great product in terms of how it works - I love the finish I get applying foundation with this (and I was extremely skeptical when I bought it!) But it doesn't hold up very well; within a week it was already peeling. It's a shame. I think the two-pack of the original beauty-blender is probably a much better buy (and less expensive, overall.)

I love it!

This sponge works amazingly for putting on foundation and blending contour colors and concealers. I don't know if it's a dupe for the BeautyBlender as I have never tried it. I knew it was expensive so I picked this one up instead as soon as I found it! It's still a little spendy in my opinion, but a much cheaper alternative to the BeautyBlender. I can't imagine putting on my foundation without it. It gives the most natural, smooth application I have ever experienced.

Dissapointed, poor quality

I am new to using sponges to apply foundation, so I purchased this, the Sephora Collection precision sponge, and the Beautyblender. I have to say that this Sonia Kashuk sponge was the hardest of them all, making it impossible to clean. I also get pieces of blue foam all over my shirt whenever I use it to apply foundation. I am happy with the way my foundation looks with this but it is too much of a hassle. I will be sticking with the Beautyblender.

This sponge worked nicely for a couple of weeks. I used it, damp, to apply foundation. It soaked up a lot of makeup, so it had to be washed often. It started to crumble, leaving tiny blur rubbery flecks on my face, after about three weeks. After about 6 weeks I had to throw it away, because it crumbled so much I couldn't use it anymore. This wasn't a bargain for me, because if I bought another one, I'd wind up paying more for continual replacements than I pay for the iconic pink eggs.

I owned this for 3 weeks and returned it because it was falling apart. I did like the flawless application of my Palladio wet/dry foundation, just wish it was higher quality, especially for the price!

Run, don't walk, to your nearest Target and buy one of these for everyone you know! Seriously this is the best beauty tool I've ever purchased. This sponge somehow works magic and gives you a flawless airbrushed look! Well worth the price tag! There are also tons of videos on youtube that give you some excellent tips for using this sponge! Go buy one! You won't be disappointed!

This little sponge really does a great job of giving your foundation that airbrushed finish. I get mine wet, squeeze out all the water, apply a tiny bit of foundation to the back of my hand, lightly dab the large end of the sponge in the foundation and then stipple or bounce the foundation onto my face. I then use the small end of the sponge for areas around my nose and eyes. Getting the sponge wet first makes all the difference in the world. Not only does it help to not absorb as much of your foundation and waste it, but it also helps with the finish on you skin. I have really enjoyed this sponge, however I don't believe I would purchase it again because I find it takes quite awhile for me to clean it and get out all the foundation. I have honestly gotten the same effect from wetting those cheap little white triangle sponges that are disposable. I do wish that this sponge would swell when you get it wet. It doesn't unfortunately and I think that is what makes it difficult to rinse out whatever product you use with it. My sponge (just for reference) is the purple model. I guess the blue one is not available anymore?

I purchased this sponge a while back. I looked at lots of reviews on you tube, and decided to buy it. However when I recieved mine, it was purple, not blue. It is also very very firm, not at all soft and airy like the you tube reviewers sponges appeared to be. Basically I really do not like it at all. I did wash it before using, hoping to soften it up, but it is still very firm even when wet. If you look at some of the you tube videos, one of them shows washing the sponge, and it looks much lar ger when it is wet. (like when you wet the sponge wedges to use them, they double in size) The purple one I re'cd does not change in size at all even when wet and washing it. Hope this helps someone trying to decide on this.
