We loved the design and the storage shelves. You can't put anything more than 5 pounds on the shelves but for the lego displays they work great. We have one using an LED bulb and the other using the regular bulb. They do look different but the amount of light given off from both is great and just what we wanted. They don't leave a glare on the TV either!
I had this lamp in my wishlist for nearly a year. Finally purchased it on 12/29/11. I assembled it the same day. Assembly was a bit confusing at first - the instructions are not as clear as they could be. It looks really great in our living room. The shelves make for convenient placement of decorative items. There is a shelf weight limit of 6 lbs, so don't place anything heavy on the shelves. The lamp will accommodate up to a 150 watt incandescent bulb or a 42 watt CFC bulb. I highly recommend
this item.
The moment I saw it online, I wanted to buy it since it looks very modern. When the parts came out of the box, it seemed a bit intimidating to assemble the piece but once I got started it was alright. The fact that it has multiple shelves gives us the option to keep collectibles on it.It is a bit pricy but looks elegant.
This lamp is stylish, simple to assemble, and I love the shelves. About a month after purchasing it, the pull chain snapped leaving about half inch chain. It was too small to pull. For the next year I turned the light on and off by unplugging or plugging in the cord. I finally invested in a replacement chain at my local hardware store and started using the pull chain again. That was one month ago. The remaining piece of the old chain snapped today. I am not investing any more money in th
is light so I am throwing it away and buying a new lamp. If you are looking for style, buy it. If you are looking for a lamp that functions i.e. turns on and off by a switch DON'T BUY IT!
i needed a plain floor lamp to put in a corner in my living room and this fit the bill! i'm not the biggest fan of the beige shade or using ties to hide the cord, but like i said, it's in a corner where no one can take too close of a look! it was fairly easy to put together and is a good lamp overall!
