Nothing compares to the taste of real popcorn--forget that microwave stuff! The Stir Crazy is easy to use, fun to watch and the popcorn tastes amazing! Over a long time of useage, the oil can build up. So after several years I usually end up buying another one. The construction seems to be a little more flimsy than years past, but I hope they never discontinue this popcorn maker!

We don't butter our popcorn, so we don't use the butter warmer. We love this popper. Only one or two "old maids." Popping is quick and fun to watch. "Flipping" is a little awkward, but we love this popper and would highly recommend it! We use it all the time.

Horrible!!!! can't say it enough save your money. I followed the instructions to a t, and ended up waiting over 10 minutes for nothing more than a bunch of burnt kernels, and a few popped pices of popcorn, that were also burnt. I made popcorn on the stove while waiting and it was FASTER NOT BURNT AND WE COUL EAT IT!!! returned the next day for full refund. Will try another brand from another store. And the black lid fit tight on mine,so tight in fact it was hard to get off. The "bowl" and handles were so hot we could not pick it up without hotpads.

The black lid that you place over the butter well after the corn has popped, is very loose fitting. As soon as I inverted the bowl the first time we used the popper the lid slipped off and created a mess on the counter. Target was very nice about letting us return it after we showed them the loose fit.

Makes popcorn better than air poppers. Oil is already on the popped corn rather than trying to add something for salt to stick to afterwords, unevenly... The downside is that there is a lot of surface area covered in oil and salt afterwords and it takes a very long time to clean properly.

I just bought this corn popper. I decided to make two quarts of popcorn to try it out,and after waiting over 10 minutes for the corn to finish popping, I decided to unplug it and be content with what had actually popped. Half of the kernels were unpopped and somewhat burnt, and the rest had been sitting for so long that it was completely dried out. I am returning this for a refund.

A really good corn popper. The 1000 watt base heats the popcorn/oil efficiently, almost all the kernels pop, even with the inexpensive popcorn. No on/off switch, but very workable.

We love using this machine. It gets used three times a week! The taste of the popcorn is wonderful, with no artifical flavors or crazy chemicals you can't pronounce. My girls love watching as it starts to pop and get so excited when it's done. The dome doubles as a bowl, but if you have little ones like I do you might want to use a different bowl. My lid now has a crack, but keeps producing great tasting popcorn. There's hardly a kernnel that isn't popped.

i have been using this popcorn popper since i was a child. there has always been a stir crazy popcorn popper in my home. my sister and i received our first westbend stir crazy popper from my mother as a family gift to pop popcorn for our trips to the drive-in movies, nothing comes close to its performance and the real flavor it gives the popcorn. i was nine years old then and i'm fifty now and i still have one in my home and its used at least two to three times a week. you can't go wrong with t his purchase and i found that target always has it at the best price. when i had to replace it or give it as a gift i go to target
