My first time cooking on stainless steel and I am in love!These pans cook evenly on my old old stove (with completely uneven burners) without the handles getting too hot. The only time I felt they were too warm was when it was turned so that it was over another burner which was on.I haven't tried them in the oven at all but on the stove, i think they are fantastic!
I like the style and finish on this set, and the even heating of the special base treatment. You can even stick pieces into the oven without worrying about handles melting. Yes the handles can get hot, but that comes with the feature of metal handles.
The handles on these pots get so hot and so fast that you must constantly use a glove or hot pad, how inconvenient that is when you are cooking on your stove top. Such a poor design for tfal safety in the kitchen matters just as much as quality. Stay away from these or throw a bottle of burn ointment in the cart when you purchase these.
it is hot in kitchens especially on the stove/in oven. a towel or pot holder,funny name huh, is just as important an item in a kitchen as pots and pans. also a warning...knives are sharp!!!! in closing not the pans fault that it gets hot like it is supposed to do.
