This is the worst comforter I ever bought. It was a wrinkled mess when I took it out of the packaging, so I washed it and dried it thinking it would help, not such a good idea.. It slides all over the bed and the poly fill is lumpy. Didn't hold up that well and we had it for 2 months. Live and learn.

Pretty...until you wash it

I bought the Puckering Duvet twice. YES, TWICE! 1. I washed the 1st duvet cover and the duvet twisted itself inside out into a ball. Once it was untangled, there was a huge tear down the middle of the duvet. I returned it with no problem. 2. Guess what happened with the second purchase? SAME THING! I went to Target this morning and they refused to return it because I didn't have the original packaging. I didn't have the cloth envelope that it came in because I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE DAMAGED AGAIN. I washed this duvet just like the instructions indicated - front loader, etc. This item is great if you never wash it, but just like new undergarments, I wash before I wear. In summary, this duvet will not work if you want clean sheets.

I bought a king size comforter for our queen size bed and I'm SO glad that I did because it JUST fits our queen size bed. I did not put it on the bed before I washed it so I really don't know how badly it shrunk. I also agree with the other reviews about the wrinkled mess. After I washed it I could barely see the pleats through the wrinkles. It has straightened out a bit after about a week but it doesn't look nearly as nice as it did in the store. The padding in the comforter feels like a big foam pad. It is soft but it feels like it is all one piece which also makes it a bit stiff. It is still comfortable and I still like the look. I just have to get over some excess wrinkles.

I bought this comforter because it looked so pretty. Well I put it on my bed and it was a wrinkly mess! It looked horrible and cheap. The puckering was not raised at all, It just looked flat and wrinkly. It was a nice material and comfortable but I couldn't get over how bad it looked. I was going to wash it but the instructions state to wash in front load commercial washer only. I was afraid it would still be wrinkly and I wouldn't be able to return it. So I crammed it back into the box and ret urned it.

I loved this comforter when I bought it! I had it on the bed for about a week before one of my dogs had gotten a drool stain on it. I washed and dried it on a delicate setting in my front load washer/dryer and promptly removed it after the drying cycle was finished. It was ridiculously wrinkled so I threw it back in for another 20 minutes. Much to my dismay, it wasn't any better when I pulled it back out. I decided to use my garment steamer and after about a half hour, it was for the most p art wrinkle-free and looked just like the picture on this page. I'm still happy with my purchase, it's warm and very comfortable. The puckering of the fabric is very different and pretty, even though it's your basic white. I guess I will just have to be extra cautious about making sure the dogs stay off the bed.

I was looking at the Shabby Chic Duvets, but the problem with Duvets is that obviously you still need to BUY another part...the comforter. I needed it for my guest room to match my all white decor and it was perfect! I ordered on-line then realized it was in store close to me! ugghh, paid shipping for nothing. I suggest ALWAYS checking to see if in-stock at your nearest Target before ordering if you don't qualify for free shipping

I already own the pin tuck duvet cover set from another store in the amethyst color and I wanted white but didn't want to pay [$] again for just the duvet cover. The Target set is an excellent alternative so far--I paid a sale price of [$] and got not only the comforter but also the two pillow shams. The first thing I noticed about the fabric was that it's a super-bright white. I washed the comforter and pillow shams and once I put them back on the bed, the brightness toned down a bit. There was some wrinkling as a result of the comforter being compressed in the dryer but I don't mind because the overall look is supposed to be puckered. Compared to the pin tuck duvet cover from the other store, the stitches in this comforter are more secure and sewn in centimeter-sized stitched seams where each pucker pleat occurs. In other words, if you tug at those seams, the pleats stay secure. Overall the Target version is a better value!
