This scale is horrible. I've had it for about three months and it never gives the same reading twice. When I first got it each time I would step on the scale it would vary 2-3 pounds, which wasn't great, but I figured it was within a reasonable margin of error. Like the reading would be different if I were to step off the scale and then step right back on. Now the scale seems to vary by up to 12 pounds. I'll step on it and it will tell me I'm 155, next it will say I'm 167, then back down t
o 157. At the gym I weighed myself on their doctor's office type scales and both of them said I was 151 on the money. Then I came home and this scale gave me the following readings the three times I stepped on it 161, 155, 159.
I've had this scale for at most 10 months and a few weeks ago, it just stopped working. I followed the reset instructions on the Taylor website and nothing changed. I emailed Customer Support and was instructed to mail the scale back for a replacement.Aside complete failure, the scale was also rather inaccurate. I took my weight on this scale about 20 minutes before weighing on my gym's scale and the difference was 3-5 pounds. Knowing this, I always took my weight with a grain of salt and it di
dn't really bother me until it started reading as twice my weight.. Time for a new scale :/
I've had this scale for about a year. It reports weight accurately and I love that my husband and I can store our info. It really helps to monitor body fat. The battery lasts long. The display does disappear quickly, so don't blink. I would definitely recommend this scale to my friends.
had the scale for two years and it just broke, was hoping that it would last longer. It is hard to clean under the glass and collects dust very easily, plus you have to weigh yourself several times to get an accurate reading, because the scale gives different readings every 2 minutes. I would not buy this scale again.
Bought this September of 2009. It broke last week randomly. It acts like my weight is over twice what it is. The body fat % calculator was never really right, but it was ok. It seemed as though my body fat went up/down with my weight so that was reasonable. Didn't really take the number to heart. But now it doesn't work at all and I'm looking for a new scale!
Ugh. This thing is worthless. It says my weight goes UP as I remove clothing, like heavy winter coats, and never says the same weight twice in a row. I know that it is impossible to gain two pounds in 30 seconds, but this scale will tell you that you did. I have no faith in ANY of the numbers it spits out. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
I bought this scale about a month ago and am planning on returning it tomorrow! It's fairly inaccurate by 2.5 - 5 pounds (it has never given me my correct weight) which makes this scale completely useless since I'm only trying to lose 10 pounds.
I bought this scale a few moths back because I liked the way it looked an the supposed functionality. I too could not get it program for more than one person. I even took the original one back and exchanged it for another thinking that one was broken. Got home, the new one would not program either so I just said whatever. Three months later, I get on and get these error messages. Changed the battery, nothing, still broke. I emailed the company to see if I could return it to them since I no long
er have the box or receipt and I am waiting on their response.
Well, just bought this and am returning it today. Not accurate at all. Kept getting different readings. Had tried another Taylor scale and the same thing happened.
