For a stay home mom this realy works. My son is 3 years old and loves putting up a star for the day. Even its the bad day or the good day. He knows what he has to do everyday like clock work. He knows at the end of the week he gets a reword and then a present for the end of the month for woking hard. He would be ready for school when that time comes. I can't wait to do this with my daughter when she is ready.

Best chore chart I've ever found. My daughter loves it! I love that its colorful, but simple. A white board is so much more logical to me than the "million magnet" kinds, so I can change chores around each week if I want. It offers a brilliant and so so simple solution to having multiple children and clearly states rewards at the bottom which I've never seen before. Kids love to know what they can earn and there are three lines so its not all or nothing. I highly recommend this! and f or less than [$$]! My only only complaint (hence 4 stars in durability) is that the dry erase pen that comes with is poor quality and hard to wipe off, no big deal...just swapped it out for one I already had and its all good.

I purchased not one, but two of these magnetic dry erase chore charts. Not that you would have to, because it holds up to 4 names on one board. But I wanted to really put some detail into my children's charts, so I purchased one for each of my sons. There is ample room to write in the name of the chore. There are more than enough magnetic stars in case some go missing. And my sons were most excited about the reward section in the bottom. There are only 2 things missing from this board. The firs t thing I wish had come with it was a way to mount it other than on a magnetic surface. It comes with magnets and adhesive strips to attach them. We wanted to use this on the boys closet doors, [...]. The second thing I would have liked is a tray of some sort to store the star magnets. Again, since we are not placing this on our fridge or another magnetic surface, there is nowhere convenient to store the stars. I had to put them in a container and store them on a closet shelf. My 7 and 10 year old boys were truly excited to have these, and couldn't WAIT to begin using them. Not only have they helped in picking their own chores, they actually want to do them to be rewarded. I would recommend this chart to anyone wishing to organize, reward, and be environmentally friendly.

Seriously, this is the best chore chart I've seen. Completely customizable because of the dry erase nature of it, you can change it all up or just vary portions of it from week to week. We used the magnetic backing for ours and hang it on a metal door in the kitchen. The kids love the magnets that show a chore's been done; we don't utilize the reward portion of it but there is one. (In my mind, the reward is that I let them live with me.)Huge fan!
