When Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) reluctantly moved to the perpetually overcast town of Forks, WA, and set out to carve a niche for herself, she assumed it would be one similar to the low-profile social position she held back in Phoenix. First on the list of surprises was the unfamiliar attention from the male population of her new high school; second, the attention from one male in particular: Edward Cullen, Vampire (Robert Pattinson). Before long, the unlikely soul mates find themselves in a passionate relationship with a variety of significant setbacks, including Edward's special-needs diet (he doesn't eat humans, but Bella's scent inspires a nearly impossible to harness bloodlust) and the human girl's mortality. Though things proceed relatively smoothly at first (Edward even introduces Bella to his adoptive vampire family), a visiting vampire clan consisting of James (Cam Gigandet), Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), and Laurent (Edi Gathegi) catches Bella's unique scent and threatens the young couple's budding, if dangerous, happiness. James, known for his powerful tracking ability, becomes obsessed with making Bella his next victim. Fearing for Bella's safety and that of her loved ones, the Cullens must combine their collective talents in order to stop the highly predatory James before his goal is accomplished. I might not be a 12 yr old girl, but this movie and the whole series has captivated me from day one. Granted, the acting could use some improvement, but the story overrides it.

If youre looking for a horrible performance with complete awkwardness, look towards your nearest middle school or hot topic to get all the buzz in Kristen Stewarts performance as Bella Swan in Summit Entertainments Twilight. Twilight is a movie based on a four-part saga by Stephanie Meijer. The movie centers around a high school student named Bella Swan who moves into her brand new life with her father, Charlie Swan. As the movie progresses, Bella falls in love with a boy name Edward Cullen, on ly to discover that he and his family are actually a secret coven of vampires trying to live regular lives as humans. As you get further into the movie Bella and The Cullen family encounter obstacles that cause family arguments and life-threatening battles. Twilight is a great story about love and family. Theres only one problem with the movie, Kristen Stewarts performance. Stewart shows little emotion with stammered lines that make the movie difficult to enjoy. I had read the book before Id seen the movie and had high expectations for the cast and special effects. The only part that seemed to let me down was the actress who played Bella Swan.Stewarts performance was disappointing and very upsetting. Not only did her performance change the way I viewed her character, it also changed the way I viewed Bella and Edwards relationship. Without a strong relationship foundation the play falls apart. I do have to say that her performance improves in the sequel, New Moon. That is a movie I would recommend seeing, not Twilight.
