Our old stove top popcorn popper was still working, 5-6 years, but was getting beat up so my family got me a new one for Christmas. It was a similar design but not same company. After one or two times using the Whirley-Pop, the gear started slipping. I noticed one of the teeth actually bending over on one of the gears. I don't think the quality is the same with the Whirley-Pop. I will be returning it if I can. I am going to look for something with metal gears instead.

Popcorn from the Whirley-Pop always tastes great - and we eat a lot of popcorn (...] No burned popcorn - almost all the kernels pop.

Love this popper! We threw away our old one - not a Whirley-Pop - which I should have done years ago. Was amazed the first time I used it and there were no unpopped kernels. It's much bigger than our old one. Great buy!

Simple and easy to use - I love this popper. The popcorn doesn't burn and equally shares the butter and salt - make kids and adults feel like they are at the movies! Just wish I had more room to store it in my kitchen.

The popper is well made and easy to use. My husband really enjoys eating popcorn popped on the stove. This popper met our expectations. It cleans up easily and quickly. It is worth the price paid.

This is a wonderful popper. I turn on the stove burner on high, then get out the oil and the popcorn. Add the oil just to cover the bottom of the pan, then add popcorn to cover the bottom and start twirling the handle. Within a minute it starts popping like crazy and pops almost every kernal. After the pan cools, I just wipe out the inside with a paper towel and put it back in the cupboard. It's spectacular. Best and easiest ever. Totally recommend you purchase this. I've given one to most of m y friends and family as gifts too!

My Father loves popcorn. My Mother and Father would have to drag out a big pot, and keep moving the pot all around as to not burn the popcorn. All you do with this pan is turn the handel and let the pan do the rest. I bought this for my Father and Mother about 7 years ago and the handel is coming lose because my parents use this pan EVERYDAY. I am now buying them a new one for Christmas 2010. If it matters, this was the only thing my parents wanted for Christmas.

Who needs to go to the movies for the popcorn anymore. Well, not us. We love this machine. It works great, and makes the best popcorn ever! We used to go to the movies because we liked the whole experience. Now we can get it at home and save tons of money!

I received this as a gift, and it has changed my popcorn world forever. The popcorn made with the Whirley-Pop is so fresh that I can no longer eat microwave popcorn. We now prefer to cook popcorn on the stove. Because of the way the popper is made, the popcorn also cooks quickly once the oil is heated. You are able to control the amount of salt added, and you can monitor the amount of oil use. The popcorn tastes healthy and very fresh - no chemicals!
