i purchased this cast pan and used for a party, the giant cupcake stands perfect and looks amazing. Great purchase, i do recommend this product to peopple who likes to baked.
Works wonderfully. Perfect shape. I used oil and the cake popped out of the pan very easily. Probably overpriced, but if a giant cupcake is what you're looking for, a giant cupcake is what you'll get. You'll have to slice the top of each half to make it even and perhaps use a layer of frosting to get it to stick together better, but it'll come out great.
This is a really fun gift idea centered arounde baking or cupcakes! I bought one for myself as well but have yet to use it so I only gave it 4 stars. Overall really cute, arrived quickly and the birthday girl loved this gift!
This giant cupcake pan is a cake mold for making a giant cupcake. This makes a great yet economical gift for daughters, nieces, granddaughters and friends who are bakers. The baked product after it is assembled and decorated makes a wonderful party cake and conversation piece. I highly recommend the product.
I made 3 cupcake cakes for three friends this past weekend and everyone loved it & thought they were so cute. The first one was trail & error since I only used one mix bag, two works much better the left over batter went towards mini cupcakes anyway. I also filled both ends at the same time which of course the bottom part took longer to bake but no biggy but next time I will do as ppl suggested (baking bottom first for 15min). I used pre made fondant(1st time using it) molded it onto th
e bottom part and since I didn't have food coloring I used colored icing I had for cookies and it was perfect. I hadn't read any reviews before using this pan and I did well. I'm not sure why some people gave this product bad reviews cuz IT'S GREAT!!!! I'm no Betty Crocker put I sure felt one since people are placing there orders for one...LOL
I used this pan for my son's first birthday. The cupcake came out almost perfect. I used 1.5 boxes of Yellow Cake mix and adjusted the ingredients on the box accordingly...4 eggs, etc. I did a roundabout estimate. I suggest you use PAM on both sides! The top stuck a little the first time when I didnt use PAM. I filled the bottom of the cupcake about 80% and same with the top portion. The cake will rise. I baked for 60 min on 350 degrees, then did the toothpick test to ensure the toothpick comes
out clean. My first time the cake rose a little too much so I took a bread knife and trimmed off the excess to make a flat perfect match. [...]I also made a chocolate mold in this pan [...] you can find the directions for that on the following website... [...]ohsugarcakes.blogspot [...] candy-liner-for-giant-cupcake[...]
As soon as my pan came in the mail today, I tried it out! I was so excited that I forgot what some of the other reviews said, to fill the bottom of the cupcake and bake that for 10 to 15 minutes longer, and filled both sides. What I ended up doing was taking the top part out to cool while the bottom part continued to bake. It ended up working out just fine but I will definitely do it differently next time. The cake turned out very cute and my daughter can't wait to have a giant cupcake cake at
her birthday party next weekend!
I was so excited to get this for my son's first birthday smash cake...(I did cupcakes for everyone else) It is soooo not easy, the other reviewers must have been the king of cakes. I have made several novelty cakes in the past (golf balls, characters, themes etc.) and this by far was the hardest. Cake came out to look like a pile of gook. You can't see the detail and I used buttercream icing( like someone suggested) Horrible. The outside gets overcooked, the insides undercooked and forget about
decorating it....Whoo, I am so frustrated by it! Sorry girls!
This pan is fantastic. I followed what the other reviewers said and baked the bottom for 15 minutes before adding the batter to the top portion of the pan and then cooked it all for an additional 40 minutes and it turned out great!
