These boots are super cheap and cute except for one thing. Unlike the previous reviewers, I would say that these boots ARE shiny, in a mottled way. They appear as pictured any time you are in daylight or a lighted room. In dim lighting, they look black without any reflectiveness. For these reasons, these are the perfect throwaway boot for casual nights out at the bar, when you might be hesitant to wear a more expensive/high quality leather boot for fear of scuffs, scratches, and stains. Th e red zipper, buckles, and cut is awesome, and I think they are comfortable!! They fit my wide foot just fine with a slim sock.

I was looking for a basic black flat boot and so I ordered these up. They were true to size and very comfy, but there is a RED ZIPPER up the back of the boot. I did not see this in the photo, or in any other reviews. Maybe it was just my pair, but it was not what I expected. I was looking for some classic boots to wear with everything, these won't work for me. Returning, sadly.

I've never had microsuede boots before and I wanted to try these. As stated by the other reviewer, these boots are a true black and not reflective like in the photo, unless you shine a light on it. For boots I usually wear a 9.5 so I could wear thick socks, but I noticed that it's junior sizing so I ordered a 10. The fit was great but there was plenty of room around the legs and ankles. My legs are on the skinny side but not super skinny. The boots look great with jeans, though, and it's style d in a way that it's taller in the front. If you're shorter than 5'7" you might have a problem with it digging at the back of your knees. The zipper is at the back and I don't have a problem with that. I hate that it's red, though, and I thought it looked tacky. If I was a teenager it might be cool but for a 30 year old it's not. I've posted some photos.

Ordered these through the website, they are a true black, not reflective or spotty like in the photo. Solid black faux suede. There is only a glimpse of it in the photos, but the zipper up the back is red. The shaft of the boot is soft and zipped VERY snugly around the calf. The foot part is very rigid, cold, and unpadded. Was a little tight to squeeze my foot into but fit properly once on. Thick or heavy socks will not work with these at all. They are not very comfortable but they really are c ute. The material is decent for the price, the red zipper adds a little punch, and the way the top edge is angled a little so the front comes up just a bit over the knee cap and then lower in the back looks good. I like these and I'll keep them, even though they won't be super-comfy. They be more comfortable than any of my heels is how I look at it. Caution, I think if you have wide feet or calves these would be impossible to fit into.
