Simon, who wants to catch a salmon, finally realizes his wish; but the creature is in need of help and, Simon thinks, too beautiful to die.
All summer young Simon has been fishing and hoping to catch a salmon. Then, one day, an eagle flying by accidently drops the salmon it was carrying right into a tide pool that Simon is studying. It doesn't take Simon long to realize that the water in the tide pool is not deep enough for the salmon to survive. Will Simon be able to find a way to return the salmon to its home? Illustrated with watercolor paintings.
