These blankets are great for so many things. They are lightweight and stretchy, perfect for swaddling, and they are big enough to accommodate our baby as she grows. They are also good to cover the stroller during mosquito season and protect her eyes from the sun. She also loves the way they feel so she gets super tickled when we play peek-a-boo with these versus some of her other blankets. The set comes with four blankets which seemed to be just enough for our needs. We recommend these bla nkets to all of our expecting friends and family.
I live in the South where it is hot, humid and windy. These are light, yet offer privacy, and are large enough that they won't blow away in the wind. These are the perfect nursing cover. When my LO was old enough to throw the cover off, these would lay softly against me so she wasn't covered and I was. These have served us very well over the past two years. The muslin fabric folds or rolls neatly and fits perfectly in a bag. They've held up through numerous washings, cold delicate, line dry. Th ey are very multipurpose and I highly recommend you read the other positive reviews because I would only be repeating much of what has already been stated. My LO still uses these at nap and bedtime. I recommend these to all my friends and give them as gifts for every baby shower. Other than my ring sling, these blankets are my favorite baby item hands down. Save your other receiving blankets to throw over your shoulder or knee when you burp the baby. Use these for everything else!
We were very excited about these swaddle blankets, and hence very disappointed when we smelled them at home. They stink like gasoline! Washing didn't help at all, even though we were so ready to overlook any remaining smells because we wanted to like them. So we had no choice but to return them and try another brand elsewhere. Otherwise the pattern was cute and the material as expected. So it's sad they smelled so bad. They are a big huge, but I would have gotten the sewing machine out and ma de more out of these four blankets. Overall, a horrible disappointment.
These are a little pricey but well worth the money spent. There r more then a swaddling blanket. I use as nursing cover, car seat or stroller cover, & for play time on the floor. These are a few inched smaller than the others on the aden & anais site but they are big enough to safe a few dollars. The animal pattern is super cute & gender nautral. They fit well in a diaper bag. I recomend only a few baby products & am not one that has alot of need for all the baby products but I must say I can't live w/out these or my Boppy. A great shower gift. You will end up w/ a lot of blankets but I promise you will use these the most & want to buy another pack.
Everyone has mentioned that these blankets are great for swaddling and as stroller covers, but I found that they are most useful as a cover up when nursing. They're BIG and lightweight. My son would get hot and irritated when I tried to cover him with other items. This is so airy that he didn't even know when I put it over him. I also found that it was big enough to give me plenty of coverage while nursing. I always felt like I was having to adjust other cover ups to make sure I wasn't exposing myself. You won't be sorry for purchasing this item!
I received one of the aden and anais muslin blankets as a shower gift and ended up buying the four pack at Target because we used them so often, especially in the summer. They are light weight, BIG, packable, great for swaddling even for older babes, and great for so many uses. I used them as a nursing cover, car seat & stroller cover, and for swaddling. I now get them for any mom-to-be. While they are a bit expensive, this price is still much less than buying them individually at any baby specialty shop or online.
After reading the reviews I decided to buy a package of these swaddle blankets and they are BY FAR the best we've used! Big enough even for my 22 month old to use comfortably as a blankie. Lightweight, breathable, washes beautifully. Seriously could be the perfect baby blanket. well worth the $$ for a 4 pack!
These are great for swaddling, light summer blanket, drape it over infant seat to shield from sun, etc. Love these...and wayy bigger than the other receiving blankets I got.
I love these! They are perfect for summer for so many uses. My friend recommended them and I couldn't resist and picked up a pack and so glad that I did. I have a ton of receiving blankets from my firstborn that I never used so I was skeptical-but these have been the absolute opposite!I think they are definitely worth the money!!

We purchased these from Target because we were given Aden and Anaias swaddles for a shower gift and found them insanely useful for swaddling our newborn. Though the prints on the Target ones are really cute, they are 3 inches shorter on each side than the ones we got as gifts--44 inches vs. 47. This may not sound like a big deal, but we cannot get a swaddle with the smaller ones to stay. Also, the original ones are fluffier and able to stretch more, allowing for a nice, tight swaddle. We though t the ones from Target would be the same, but sadly they are not. They can be used for a lightweight blanket, but not as a swaddle. Don't waste your money. [...]
