Angelcare AC1100 Video, Movement and Sound Monitor with 1 Rechargeable Parent Unit is rated 4.2472 out of 5 by 89.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointing The setup was complicated. You have to have the camera portion on a flat surface and my nursery wasn't set up with a table near the crib, so we had to put it across the room. Basically all I can see is whether or not the baby is wiggling. I wish the camera would attach to the crib so you could see the baby's face. The temperature function is a good idea but it's inaccurate and the alarm for it will wake you up in a panic when the temperature is actually just fine. I had to turn that feature off. As for the mattress motion sensor, I don't know why I ever thought that would be a good feature. If there's not enough motion it sets off a HUGE alarm on both ends of the monitor. Basically, when the baby is just being really peaceful, it will blare so loud and wake him up for no reason. I am beyond disappointed with this monitor. I do not recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's OK... The product has great features (like the ability to talk to your baby thru the parent monitor, the room thermometer, etc), but the quality is lacking. For example, the screen always looks like it has a fuzzy clear piece of plastic over it. It's difficult to see if my baby's eyes are open or closed. Night vision is nice to have, but again, can't tell if her eyes are open or closed. The sound comes on only if your child makes a loud enough noise. In other words, it's not on all the time. You won't hear a coo or a whine, but you'll hear a scream or cry. I haven't used the sensor pad yet, so I can't review that. Overall, it's ok, but I'm disappointed in the quality for the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not last for 2 children I really like this monitor and all of the features it offers. Unfortunately, the parent unit simply wouldn't turn on one morning after less than probably a full year worth of use. I have had it since my son was born in June of 2012, but the monitor was only used until December or January as I loaned it to my sister in law when her premature triplets came home from the hospital. She transitioned to a monitor that could be linked to multiple cameras when they moved the babies out of their room. I now have a second child and one night when I attempted to turn the parent unit on (after charging it the entire day) it wouldn't come on. I promptly ordered new rechargeable batteries which didn't solve the issue, so I called Angelcare to find out their recommendation. They had me switch out the power sources to determine if the cord was bad, but when that didn't work either, I was told by Lindsay (who was very nice) that I had to purchase another parent unit for $54 and some change. I paid $200 for this unit and at that price point, I expect to get through 2 kids! Since I was assured this is a "very unlikely thing to happen", I felt it should then not be a big deal for the company to replace the unit for me at that price. Needless to say, I'm disappointed and now without a VERY expensive monitor and was forced to purchase a cheaper one in order to have a monitor for both my toddler and my infant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from its a work in progress! I bought this when baby girl was about 6 months old. The movement sensor is a little over reactive and the alarm wakes sleeping baby up if baby is okay and just sleeping still. Camera is a nice piece of mind. Wish it worked on your mobile device

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this monitor This monitor has great features and works really well. If you have a very large house the range might be a problem but I love everything else about it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I am so g;ad that we bought it. It gives me the peace of mind at night and lets me get some rest.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from overall worth it I got this monitor at my baby shower, and although I do like being able to see what my baby is doing rather than just hearing, mine did not come with the viewing device as pictured. I have to watch on the Angelcare app on my phone, which you have to leave open all the time to watch and/or listen in turn causing my phone's battery to drain pretty quickly. I'm sure if I had the handheld viewing device I'd be more pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best monitor! I had purchased a standard sound monitor, but it didn't ease my mind well enough for my new parent worries. I decided to try the Angelcare monitor and I sleep much better knowing that I will be alerted if my child stops breathing. I love the features and how easy the product is to use! I would recommend this to any new parent or any parent who loses sleep due to worrying about their baby.

BabyCenter Editors' review

What it is
Like a tiny robot assistant, there's very little this monitor can't do. It's got top-notch audio and video, so you can watch and hear your baby from as much as 650 feet away – and thanks to the infrared camera, you can even watch her in the dark. You can speak to and soothe your baby with the two-way talk feature, as well as monitor her movement, breathing, and the temperature of the room.

The under-the-mattress sensor is sensitive to every tiny movement, and it will sound an alarm if it doesn't detect any stirring for 20 seconds. Even the extra features can quickly become necessities: There's a glowing light on the transmitter to help guide you in a darkened room, the option to turn on a little ticking sound to reassure you that the system is working, a timer for tracking your baby's sleep and wake time, and a zoom-in/zoom-out feature so you can see if your baby still has that paci in her mouth.

What to watch out for
The false alarms and random beeps can be particularly irksome , and when the movement monitor under the mattress does not detect movement, it sounds a rather hysterical alarm . You can disconnect the movement sensor at any time or turn the parent unit to mute to solve this, but then you might be better off with the Angelcare AC1120, which has no movement sensor.
