Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT At first, I was skeptical about this. I wasn't sure if it was really heating up. I was expecting this to be really really warm after 5-10 mins but it didnt heat up that fast. But when i laid down on the bed, i felt like the wires heat up more when there's weight on top of it. So put like a heavy comforter on your bed if you want it to heat up fast and be warm as soon as you get on the bed. and also this turned out to be super comfy. Used this when it was snowing and it felt like i was in heaven. Didnt feel the wirings. Love love love this. bought one for my parents too. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I use the pre-heat option about 20-30 minutes prior to heading to bed and oh my it makes the bed so nice and toasty warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heating mattress pad The extra cost for the pad was worth it. It helps hold the heat in. My other one that this one replaced was put on 4, on this one after preheat it is left on 1. Nice even heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from comparison of sherpa to non-sherpa pad I thought the connector for the wires was supposed to be off the edge of the pad, where your feet can't hit it. They're not. At least for the twin size sherpa pad I got. Same goes for the classic, non-sherpa heating pad I first got. Even the instruction manual shows the lumpy connector off on the side. But nope, it's there in the bottom corner where your feet can rest on it, especially if you're tall. The sherpa version has one big thing going for it: you can hardly feel the wires, unlike the plain quilted version (which I also reviewed). Though the down side is with all that extra padding, it takes longer to warm up the sheets. When you finally lie down on the sherpa one, you can feel the warmth against your skin better than when you just feel the sheets with your hand. The sheets themselves don't get as warm as with the non-sherpa version thanks to the extra padding, but I guess that's not a big deal for me. I got the classic pad at Target on veterans day. A strong winter storm brought winter to us a month early, so I needed something quick. But I also ordered the sherpa one online since it was on sale. In the end, they're about the same except for the bits I mentioned above. And, in the end, I returned the regular since it was more expensive. I love that preheat function. I hate crawling into bed and shivering for a minute until my body warms up the sheets. The preheat is all I really use the pad for. I turn off the heat as I crawl into bed on those cold nights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heaven! I LOVE this heated mattress pad. So comfy. I love the preheat feature: you start of warm and then it goes to the preset setting after 1.5 hours. Perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it This electric mattress pad works great. Heats up nicely. The sides of the pad are rather long but that doesn't bother me.
