Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple; just the right size, and makes good coffee This coffee maker is just right for me. It's the perfect size--5 cups--and makes good coffee. Good value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New, Not So Improved 5-cup Coffeemaker I bought the black coffeemaker to replace the white one I've used for 3 years. It still works, but it has coffee stains, and the dishwasher has made the carafe look cloudy. The new one looks the same, except for the color, but it works differently. At the end of the brewing cycle, steam no longer forcibly shoots out, making water run over the side of the basket holder. That should be a good thing, but you get less coffee, and more water remains in the coffeemaker lid. The most annoying change is that the carafe only has water level markings on one side instead of two, and the side it's on makes you have to pour water in with your left hand. That's OK if you're a lefty. On my carafe, the markings are placed lower than the markings on my old carafe, so I've had to find the right amount of water to use for the amount of coffee I want. I've noticed when I pour the water into the coffeemaker, it shows less water than was in the carafe. I've gotten used to it. For $14.19, I guess it's worth it. I think despite its flaws, it makes good coffee. BTW, don't forget to lift the carafe lid before you pour the coffee. I had a helpful guest who insisted on pouring the coffee. I forgot to tell her to lift the carafe lid, and the coffee spilled on the tablecloth. Also, someone was upset that there was no removable filter included in the box. I used the one that came with my white coffeemaker once, and threw it away. It made coffee with a lot of residue in it. Nasty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have the same coffee maker at work, it’s about 2.5 years old, working fine. Decided to purchase one for my mother. It had such a strong plastic/chemicals smell, thought would go away, decided to run water through couple of time, but after first time coffee maker stopped working. Light is on, but water doesn’t run. Disappointed……

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Machine but Poorly Designed Carafe The carafe broke the first time we used this machine. The coffee machine itself works great for the price and for what it is intended--a few cups of coffee. My husband loves the smaller machines because he won't be tempted to drink more coffee. However, as the replacement carafes tend to cost just as much as the coffee machine, I wish the manufacturer would find a way to make one not a bit more shatter proof. As it is, we are attempting to use this one as a single cup coffee maker, by placing a mug where the carafe should be. It's not as useful that way, though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Got 2 weeks of use, 1 pot per day before water from reservoir started to run out of bottom of unit all over the counter. Checked warranty, does not cover shipping and handling to get unit repaired. Paid $16 for coffee maker, not worth the trouble to get it fixed. Won't buy again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty The reusable basket was missing. I returned it to the store to get a new one and it was missing the basket as well. After the second try I didn't bother trying again. I wouldn't buy this without opening the box in the store and making sure everything was included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Coffee Maker This little coffee maker is everything I was looking for. It makes 4 to 5 cups, uses regular filters, and costs about $20. Bingo. After two weeks of daily use, I will highly recommend this no frills machine. Standard 8-12 cup basket filters work great. Even a full pot brews quickly, so I don't have an issue with there not being a valve on the basket to stop coffee from flowing when the carafe is removed. The carafe fits well and pours without dribbling if you lift the lid slightly as you pour. I use premium locally roasted and blended coffee ground fine, and it tastes great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! Got this because it was the cheapest one available. I've had it for 3 months and haven't had any problems with it. The perfect coffee maker for someone who lives alone. No bells and whistles-- just one button and coffee appears! :)
