Black & Decker Air Station Inflator is rated 2.6471 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from B&D Air Station Seems to work pretty much exactly like it's supposed to My design change would be to move the power switch from behind the cigarette lighter power plug to someplace more obvious... It's Inconvenient to have to pull out all that adapter wire and then pack it away again... but it works fine, will even pump up to the 80lbs req'd to top off my RV tires

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love mine I've had the B&D Air Station for several years, and use it frequently to air up my car and bike tires. The only negative is that you do have to use an extension cord with it. I have a feeling some of the problems other reviewers have mentioned with it 'breaking' or cutting off are not really problems. Once you use the automatic shut off feature (shuts off when pre-set pressure is reached), you have to switch the power switch to OFF and then back to ON before you inflate the next tire. The instructions clearly state this, but a lot of people don't bother to read them ... so ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool Saves time and money. Easy to use with auto shut-off. If you own a car you need one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from worked for a couple of years of light use This worked well for a while, to inflate bike tires mostly. Now it is simply leaking air from the hose or something, and won't inflate (it's actually deflating everything the whole way). While I think the price is right, for what you get, it should last for longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic breaks. As others have noted, the plastic piece on the end of the hose that connects to whatever you are inflating cannot with stand the pressure from car tires. Cheaply made and not worth the money. Look for something else. Black&Decker really missed the boat on this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice features, but... Nice features, but both the first pump and the warranty replacement pump ran about ten minutes before the AC mode quit. Good points- lighted, presettable pressure guage with automatic shut-off, dual power modes, modest price, not as loud as some pumps. Weak points- short air hose, vaguely accurate gauge, obstructed ON/OFF switch, awkward carry handle, short-lived AC mode.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made - broke during first use I got this B&D air compressor for Christmas. The next day I tried to use it to inflate the tires on my car. However, when I tried inflating the second tired, the mechanism to lock the nozzle onto the valve stem broke! Upon inspection I noticed that the entire mechanism is made of thin molded plastic and had snapped under the stress of trying to lock it onto the valve stem of the tire. I was very disappointed in the quality of this Black and Decker item and would not recommend it to anyone, especially since it costs a significant amount more than comparable light-duty compressors. After seeing this thing work, I can't imagine ever being able to use it for anything more than pumping up a basketball.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing is a joke. I used it to inflate a very small pool toy for my 16 month old. It took 3-5 minutes. I could have used my mouth and had it done in the same amount of time. Also it is very, very, loud. I am going to return this thing to target as soon as I get a chance. What a waste.
