Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Seats I had one of these seats when my granddaughter was born and now for my grandson. I use this seat to sit them in their bath because the seats are waterproof. It's great for when they are too small for their baby baths or kitchen sink and not quite big enough for the big bathtub. I would take it to restaurants and use it has a high chair. When I'm working in the kitchen, the seat sits on the counter and they are able to watch. Great addition to anyone's baby (and grandparent) needs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would have loved it... I bought it recently during the Target Baby Sale. My baby is 4.5 months old and weighs about 18 lbs. So excited cuz I have been eyeing on this for awhile and I was not sure as to the length of time my baby uses it. However, I had to return it immediately because my baby's thighs are a little bit chunky, I had to squeeze the in between support to get his legs out. It is very snug though. I should have bought it sooner for him to get a lot of use out of it. The other downside is the belt is useless for him too, I could not strap him in because there was not a lot of room. His body fits perfectly except the thighs, too tight. Which also gave me another reason to return it because he may only use it for one week, no more room for him to grow. I ended up buying the other brand. It fits him perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shower gift I'll give this 5 stars because I purchased this from a gift registry for a prospective mother, and I assume she knows this is a great seat to use for an infant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eh... Just Okay I was sooooo excited to get this and the Bumbo tray when I was pregnant. I thought for sure I'd use it all of the time, but unfortunately I was mistaken. Maybe it was just my lil guy, but he was not much of a fan. He didn't necessarily mind being in it, but didn't really enjoy it either. I started putting him around 2.5 - 3 months and he did well, but would arch his back and push down with his feet on the floor to try to wriggle out. By the time he was old enough to sit in it to eat off the tray or play with toys off the tray, he was already sitting up and would rather sit on his own than be stuck in the Bumbo. Not worth the money, in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not worth the money My son loves sitting in this and it's great that I don't have to hold him but he has chubby legs at 5 months so we will only get a couple months of use out of this. For babies with chubbier legs there is not a lot of room and for the cost I was hoping to be able to use it longer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a fan I feel like this is only really useful for a very short period of time because the leg holes are just so small. My baby is average size and his thighs always get stuck. We have another infant seat that I like much better. I plan on returning this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new way to see the world I like that the bumbo seat gives my son a new vantage point. He can sit up and look around and it gives my arms a break, the fact that it is super spongy is a plus he look very comfortable in it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

What it is: This is the original cushy molded floor seat, and it’s still a nice piece of basic equipment that requires zero effort beyond taking it out of the box and buckling the harness. Babies who want to sit up but don’t quite have the strength yet will love this, as ours did. The slightly dipped seat that’s lower than a baby’s bottom grounds infants and prevents tip-overs. And it’s able to take any mess your baby can throw out; we just run it under the faucet when it gets really gross. We also like the optional play tray, especially for the finger-food age.

What to watch out for: Because of a 2012 recall the Bumbo comes with a lot of safety instructions. As long as you put on the safety belt and don’t use the seat on raised surfaces, it’s perfectly safe. Comfort is another thing, though, for larger babies: While the maximum weight listed is 30 pounds, the leg holes can be a tight squeeze for babies more than 22 pounds or so.
