I was on the quest for the perfect running shorts. I expanded my horizons to include this skort and now my quest is on hiatus. I like the cut of this - the waist is just a little higher than a lot of the shorts/skorts I've tried lately, and covers up the worst of my mama belly. The shorts and skirt are just long enough. I didn't have a problem with the shorts riding up too much on an 8-mile run - I was still covered and no chafing. The waistband lies nice and flat and no chafing - chafing from bunched elastic along my lower back was the problem with my old shorts that sent me on my quest. Cons- no waistband drawstring, so it helps to try these on at the store to make sure the size is right - I'm a 6 and on the line between S and M, and the S ended up being perfect. The shorts are snug but no compression. There's just one pocket hidden in the back waistband - should be good for a key though ideally I like a zipper pocket back there. For this price, though, these are minor quibbles.
While my favorite running skort is still a Nike, this C-9, at half the cost, is a close second. There seems to be a little more fabric in the skirt, so there's bit more "swish", and the built-in shorts don't really have any compression capability, but I still like the fit and feel. I've worn them on runs up to 12 miles, and recently wore them for 2 half-marathons, and they did a great job---no riding up of the shorts to speak of, and no chafing. I do wish there was a zippered pocket o n the back of the waistband, rather than the small one with the simple flap closure.
I bought this skort for golf because the skorts that are specifically marketed as golf skorts are not cute. I love the length of this skort, it's short enough to be cute but long enough to be acceptable on a regular golf course. It's really comfortable to move around in and keep cool during hot days.
For the price, I cannot complain, but do want to get a good quality pair of running skorts as these are a bit thin and do not provide any compression in the short. Fine for short runs, a 5K or shorter but would not use for longer runs as they do ride up ,the short part, a little. Size fits fine, I wear a size 6 jean and bought the M, perfect fit.
I normally wear a size 14 in pants and in most C9 bottoms, I wear a large so I also purchased a large in the running skort. I took the skirt out for a 2 mile run and came back chafed! The shorts rode up to my bum and the waist of the skirt rolled down. While I was running, the skirt seemed to get shorter and shorter. It made me very self conscious. I have another running skirt that I much prefer. This was unfortunately a waste of money.
[...] I was delighted to find this deal of a skort that's short enough to let me see my leg lines, long enough to hide the still shrinking part of my upper thighs, and flattering of my hourglass figure. I initially tried it on because of the flattering A-line but was sold on it because of the short, which keeps my upper thighs from sticking during slow turns. The short does ride up during practice but I am not running like the other reviewers, so stopping to pull down the short isn't a big de al to me. The waistline's high and wide band hides my tummy, too, so I get a sleek dance line that I love. I just ordered three more skorts for delivery because I shrank the one I'd bought. Accidentally dried it in the dryer in regular heat instead of no heat.
I practically live in this skort! I've purchased others from the high end workout stores and this one is just a comfy and cute on! Why spend [$$] and up when you can have a couple of these for the same price? Highly recommend for any smart, fit and stylish shopper!
Like others, I wouldn't recommend this for long distances. I wore this skort for a five mile run, and the shorts did ride up quite a bit. It also seems to run a little large. I normally wear a medium in C9 bottoms, so that's what I bought, but it's a LOT looser in the waist than I expected. On the up side, this skort is really cute, and comfortable for short distances/low impact.

I like the cut and color of these running skorts, but for any amount of distance, these won't do. When you're running the edge of the skirt hits the front of your legs, which gets bothersome after a while. More importantly, the seams aren't very flat and can chafe. Also, I found that the elastic on the waistband didn't feel very secure especially towards the end of a run.
