The Casio CTK 2080 has fun teaching features and a bonus songbook. At this writing, though, the Target description says it is TS, but it is not. I tested it and read the manual which covers the 2080, 2200 and 3200. It says only the 3200 is TS. For the unfamiliar, TS means pressing keys gently is quieter and harder is louder for a more piano like feel. I play and have taught piano. I am looking for a TS keyboard for my son. May get away with using this for a while but have heard from multiple te achers that using a non TS keyboard develops bad habits. Also less fun and may discourage even someone not consciously aware. As a kid, I had a cheap keyboard I could never stand to play. I realized later it was because it was not TS. Flat volume does not sound right, and it is hard to put any feeling or expression into playing. I know TS keyboards are getting more affordable and was excited to see this model described as TS. Disappointed but not too surprised that the description was wrong.

I was just looking for a simple keyboard I could use to practice when I didn't have access to a full piano. I occasionally encountered a problem when a song had a wider range than the 61 keys would allow for, but it's a pretty decent piece of equipment for the price! I would recommend this for any student who's looking for something simple, or who has an intermediate skill level.

I've got a full-sized digital grand piano so I was looking for a second, smaller/more portable keyboard to drag around with me. I found this Casio at Target and was greatly impressed by the value. It came with a stand and an AC power supply, which are usually extra. It met my needs completely. The speakers tend to buzz at higher volume with some voices. So I don't turn it all the way up. If I need volume, I have keyboard amps for that. Reproduction of most voices is good, but not great. But for this price, it's more than OK. The only part I don't like is the music stand. It's simply a heavy wire bent into shape and then stuck into holes provided on the top of the keyboard. It's completely open, so smaller books fall right through it. There's also not much of a lip to keep the bottoms of books in place. Basically, the top of the keyboard supports the books. To fix it, I'll attach a back and a lip onto the music stand. Otherwise, it's a great little 'carry along' keyboard!

Boy was I surprised! I thought I was getting a small keyboard for the price. It as on sale but I never dreamed of the quality keyboard I would receive. For a 66 key board, it has a great sound and the options are too numerous to name. I was going to give this to my grandchild to learn with, but ending up keeping it for myself!

It's a nice piano for so cheap. The build is awesome, heavy duty plastics. The sound is okay, could sound more real. Great speakers though. Overall pretty awesome!

Wasn't sure if my daughter would really be persistent at learning so I thought this would be a good start. I was pleased with the price and pleasantly surprised by the quality.

It's good for beginners because you can learn songs from the piano itself, but not good for anyone above that level. The sound is terrible in my opinion, hardly sounds like a real piano- but it works. I had a Casio before which I had learned on and it was great and I got a CTK-2080 for Christmas. I had two for awhile then my old keyboard stopped working so I am stuck with this one. I really don't like this keyboard, I only recommend it for beginners.

This is an awesome keyboard, with awesome features. The only thing I don't like about it is the song book doesn't help you with playing beginner songs, but other than that I would say Casio is an amazing brand. This keyboard also can be easily turned on and off, if you are a beginner I would strongly suggest you get this keyboard.
