Tony Chu is a cop with a secret. A weird secret. Tony Chu is Cibopathic, which means he gets psychic impressions from whatever he eats. It also means he's a hell of a detective, as long as he doesn't mind nibbling on the corpse of a murder victim to figure out whodunit, and why. It's a dirty job, and Tony has to eat terrible things in the name of justice. And if that wasn't bad enough, the government has figured out Tony Chu's secret. They have plans for him... whether he likes it or not.
Is being able to read the psychic energy of anything you digest a blessing or a curse? For cibopathic (that's the technical term for his (dis)ability) police detective Tony Chu, it's kind of a mixed bag. His supernatural taste buds offer him quite a number of clues, which help him solve many a twisted case. The trade-off is that he has to eat some pretty foul stuff (corpses, being top of the ick list). That was all well and good when he was his own free agent and his cibopathy was closely guarded secret, but now Big Brother is onto him. What's a guy to do? Just keep on chewing? This is the first volume collecting John Layman and Rob Guillory's clever comics series.
